- Son of French composer/conductor Gabriel Parès, Philippe Parès was born January 1st, 1901. With Georges Van Parys he composed several stage operettas (1927- 31) before launching a film and recording career. On his own, Parès composed songs for the stage musical "La bride sur le cou" in 1947. He died February 2, 1979.
