Phillip Orin Parmelee was born on 8 March 1887 in Matherton, Michigan, USA. He was an actor, known for A Dash Through the Clouds (1912). He died on 1 June 1912 in North Yakima, Washington, USA.

Before his death in an airplane crash, he held endurance and speed records, as well as being the first aviator to drop a live bomb from an airplane, use wireless communications from an airplane, carry air freight, ferry a honeymoon couple, and search for escaping criminals from the air.
