There are some interesting mysteries in the "Star Wars" franchise. For example, what the heck is M-Count? How did the Millennium Falcon make the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs when a parsec is a unit of measurement, not time? And why does Chewbacca tilt his head to the side so often, particularly when he hears something that might be confusing? It's a movement reminiscent of one that dogs make when they hear something interesting and are trying to parse it out, tilting their heads from side to side in curiosity, so one might think that's it. After all, Chewie even has the luscious locks of an Irish Setter and a nose reminiscent of a Pekingese, so it would make sense.
Sadly, Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew died in 2019 at the age of 74, but before he passed away he shared a tiny tidbit about Chewie's classic head tilt, and it turns...

On March 25, federal agents raided two of Diddy’s luxury properties as part of an investigation into sex trafficking. After completing interviews with three women and one man in Manhattan, authorities seized firearms and personal phones. We know the allegations are connected to sexual assault and the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms. But many are still curious about Diddy’s home and details of the raid. Here’s what we know:

Shaquille O’Neal is one of the best basketball players of all time, but his skills on the court certainly do not match up to his skills on the big screen. As a result, it may come as a surprise to many that O’Neal has been very vocal about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the past despite starring in one of the worst DC movies ever made.
Shaquille O’Neal on The Late Late Show with James Corden
Not only did O’Neal express an interest in joining the multi-billion dollar franchise, but he also wanted to battle it out against the face of MCU, Robert Downey Jr. Here is why O’Neal wanted to fight Downey Jr’s Iron Man on the big screen and the DC movie that was almost proof that such a face-off would not work.

After the first episode of the three-part doc, which does not yet have a distributor or platform attached, was screened, producer Cole Brown and director Charles Todd fielded a few questions from the audience, including “Was there anything too explicit to put in the documentary?”

Larry David’s popular HBO sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm is closing the book this season and the final year of the show has been in full swing. This year would also, unfortunately, see the passing of one of the show’s stars and close friend of Larry David, Richard Lewis. As the show makes its final run, it would continue to bring on guest appearances of certain actors to play over-the-top versions of themselves. David would previously have hilarious clashes with famous guest stars like Shaquille O’Neal, Michael J. Fox and the Seinfeld cast. This year brought in Full House star Lori Loughlin as she pokes fun at her college admissions scandal from 2019 (which would also involve Felicity Huffman).
Loughlin uses Larry as a sponsor to enter a country club as she loves to play golf, and hilariously, Loughlin hasn’t learned a thing from her experiences as she keeps cheating.

Warner Bros. Discovery wants to bring one of its “zombie” cable networks back to life with a big jolt of sports.
The media company intends to create a new nightly sports block for TruTV, the reality-series cable network that has largely been left to show endless episodes of the popular prank show “Impractical Jokers” and the caught-on-camera serial “World’s Dumbest.” In doing so, Warner no doubt hopes to create new value where there has only been a little. A new sports schedule would likely draw broader viewership and new ad dollars to the network, and might even spur cable distributors to accord the outlet more value in future carriage contracts.
The sports schedule will not consist only of simulcasts of NHL, MLB and NBA matchups that typically turn up on the company’s flagship TBS and TNT cable networks. Warner intends to air new “alterna-casts” that target different audiences; a...

Exclusive: Prime Video has greenlit The Money Game, a docuseries tracking the revolutionary impact of “name, image and likeness” (Nil) policies on college sports.
Campfire Studios, Axios Media, and Shaquille O’Neal’s Jersey Legends, a division of Authentic Studios, are producers on the project, which will stream exclusively on Prime. It follows a number of notable sports docuseries and doc features on Prime Video, including Coach Prime, an inside look at Colorado’s football program under Deion Sanders, and Kelce, about Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. On a broader level, sports has become a cornerstone of the Amazon-owned streaming service, notably NFL Thursday Night Football. That regular viewership for live sports provides opportunities for related shoulder programming.

Shaquille O’Neal retired from the NBA 13 years ago, but he’s never lost his competitive spirit.
When he’s asked about becoming the second player in NBA history to have three retired jerseys, he asks, “Who’s first?” When he speaks about coming back to the hip-hop music scene, he commands: “I have to make sure they say, ‘Shaq is the best rapper/athlete ever.’”
His competitive nature is also the reason why he’s returning with his wild and epic pre-Super Bowl party Shaq’s Fun House, which is in its sixth year and will take place at Las Vegas’ Xs Nightclub at Wynn on Feb. 9, two days before the Big Game. “I’m a jealous competitor. The reason why we’re doing Shaq’s Fun House? I want people to say that’s the best party ever,” he explains to THR.

Shaquille O’Neal is proving you can go home again.
The TNT Inside the NBA analyst left the Orlando Magic following the 1995-1996 season. He was the team’s No. 1 pick in 1992, and teamed with Penny Hardaway, helped take the team to an NBA Finals appearance in 1995.
But O’Neal’s exit for the Los Angeles Lakers prompted some bitter feelings on the scorned Magic. But now, that’s all apparently been forgotten and forgiven.
This is the third team to retire Shaq’s number. The Lakers retired his No. 34 jersey in April 2013, and the Miami Heat retired his No. 32 jersey in December 2016. O’Neal won three titles with the Lakers and another with the Heat.
O’Neal will be the first player in Magic history to have his uniform number retired. He wore No. 32 with Orlando. The ceremony will take place Feb. 13.

The reign of King Charles — the CNN show, not the British monarch — began rather quietly Wednesday.
The weekly show, hosted by Gayle King and Charles Barkley, drew just 501,00 viewers for its debut, according to same-day Nielsen ratings (it adjusted up a little from 486,000 in fast nationals). It finished a distant third among the biggest cable news channels in total viewers and didn’t really moving the needle from CNN’s recent averages in the hour. In fact, it ranks as the smallest audience of any of CNN’s primetime debuts this year.
King Charles was one of the last big moves of the brief Chris Licht era at CNN. The Warner Bros. Discovery-owned network announced the show in late April — six weeks before Licht was let go following a profile in The Atlantic that was poorly received among network staffers. (Mark Thompson became CEO of CNN in October.)

With the launch of Pepsi Max’s “Uncle Drew” campaign in 2012, there was a touch of Eddie Murphy in Coming to America and a dash of Jackass, with a covert Kyrie Irving under piles of Hollywood makeup, pairing surprising improv comedy chops with his incredible hoop skills. What there wasn’t, however, was any overt sense that this irresistible short film happened to be, in fact, a soda commercial.

The popcorn has been popped, the drinks have been drunk and the box office numbers for this last weekend before Thanksgiving have been tallied and standing at the top of the mountain is The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes with a reported $44 million debut. That number comes in lighter than where we saw it on Thursday as we (and most other box office trackers) saw this prequel hitting the half century mark. This number comes in $58.6 million shy of the previous lowest opening of the Hunger Games franchise (2015’s Mockingjay Part 2). Many may be quick to point out that last week we saw a similar opening for The Marvels and declared it a massive bomb while we are not sounding the alarm on Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes just yet. There is a very simple reason for that: The Marvels’ budget was over two times this films budget.

After nearly 30 years, HBO is preparing to hang Bryant Gumbel’s jersey from the rafters. The onetime co-host of Today has fronted Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel since April 1995, making the newsmagazine HBO’s longest-running series. Across 29 seasons and more than 300 episodes, Gumbel has broken some of the biggest stories in sports: exposing a child slavery ring, investigating the International Olympic Committee and revealing that Shaquille O’Neal made more money per year from endorsements than from the NBA. “Since Day 1 at Real Sports, we’ve consistently tried to look beyond the scoreboard and focus instead on the many societal issues inherent in the world of sports,” Gumbel says. “We’ve had the opportunity to tell complex stories about race, gender, class, opportunity, and so much more. Being able to do so at HBO for almost three decades has been very gratifying.” Kobe Bryant special on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel...

It’s “Trolls” night on “The Masked Singer” this week, but uh, Cuddle Monster is definitely much bigger than a troll. In fact, his size is part of what leads panelist Nicole Scherzinger to think former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal might be under the mask.

Kai Cenat is furthering his big-screen dreams with a role in a nostalgic sequel. The streaming star will make an appearance in Good Burger 2, an upcoming film led by Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.
The original Good Burger film, released in 1997, evolved out of a bit from Nickelodeon’s prime-time sketch show All That. Thompson and Mitchell were two of All That‘s breakout stars, and they created an iconic setting by depicting their adventures at a run-down burger joint. Good Burger‘s (widely-panned) trip to the big screen featured cameos from 90s icons like Sinbad and Shaquille O’Neal.
Though the Good Burger movie drew negative reviews from critics, it endured as a cultural touchstone of the Millennial generation. More than 25 years after its theatrical release, Good Burger is getting a sequel. Good Burger 2 will arrive on the Paramount Plus streaming service on November 22.

The "Five Nights At Freddy's" game franchise and its feature film adaptation share the same basic premise: would you, either as a game player or in the audience proxy guise of Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson) in the film, take a night job as a security guard in an abandoned '80-style kids entertainment establishment, a la Chuck E Cheese or ShowBiz Pizza? Furthermore, the premise assumes that the "Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria" restaurant was a successful venture in its heyday, with its original animatronic characters putting on a faux-concert of the latest '80s pop hits while "interacting" in real-time with the guests.
