I don’t know who Conchita Wurst is wearing in this photograph. All I know is I love the silhouette And the color. It will be a crime against fashion if she doesn't show up on tomorrow's "Best Dressed" lists. More jewel tones on the red carpet, please! Not sure who Ms. Wurst is? Have no fear! Conchita Wurst is 2014 Eurovision winner (similar to “American Idol,”) and the drag queen alter ego of Tom Neuwirth. Wurst was one of the most popular — and controversial — acts in the shows sixty year history. Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP First appearing as Conchita in 2011, Neuwirth has become a Lbgt icon since winning Eurovision. Neurwith is always quick to dispell any confusion about his gender identity as a gay man in drag, stating to The Guardian: [Conchita] is careful to differentiate between drag artists and transgender people "..it's such a serious topic [...]becoming Tom again at...

Conchita Wurst may have won the Eurovision Song Contest a week ago, but that's how long it's taken Rylan Clark to do his impersonation of the singer live on This Morning.
The 25-year-old reality TV star, who is set to be joined by Luisa Zissman on Big Brother's Bit on the Side this summer, today (May 16) donned a wavy brown wig and a gold sequined dress similar to the one worn by the Austrian singer at the competition in Copenhagen.
He obviously didn't need to fake the trademark beard as he could just use his own.
Rylan then attempted to put on his very best Austrian accent for the daytime show's hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, before sidling up to Holmes and sitting on his knee.
Even Holmes looks embarrassed, and that must take a lot.
And let us not forget Rylan's recent amazing impression of Corrie's Deirdre Barlow getting sent down too.

A power ballad, "Rise Like a Phoenix," helped Wurst - the alter ego of 25-year-old Thomas Neuwirth - secure Austria's second victory in the competition with 290 points. The country also won in 1966. "This is dedicated to everyone who believes in a future of peace and freedom," a tearful Wurst said as she accepted the trophy from Denmark's Emmelie de Forrest, who won the contest last year. Wurst is the onstage persona of singer, Tom Neuwirth, 25, who performs in full makeup and dress with a beard, natural and enhanced by makeup. Newirth created Conchita Wurst in 2011 as a statement of protest against intolerance and discrimination, according to Conchita Wurst’s official website. Wurst enjoyed a successful stint on an Austrian talent competition called The Big Chance and competed as Wurst in various other reality singing competitions as well. Conchita is sometimes called ‘the Bearded Lady’ and has become a symbol for gay rights in Austria, where Newirth originates, and, now, across the world.

Europe's World Cup-style song competition took place in Copenhagen this weekend. Whatever your thoughts on Eurovision and its often ridiculous acts, the event still drew in a TV viewership of 120 million (another 11,000 people made up the live crowd). This year's especially high ratings may have had something to do with the first-place winner, a bearded Kim Kardashian look-alike named Conchita Wurst. Also known as 25-year-old Thomas Neuwirth, Wurst hails from Austria and brought down the house by singing "Rise Like a Phoenix."Following the win, Wurst said, "This night is dedicated to everyone who believes in a future of peace and freedom. You know who you are — we are unity and we are unstoppable." And Austrian president Heinz Fischer called Wurst's success "not just a victory for Austria, but above all for diversity and tolerance in Europe." Now if only The Voice could be this exciting.

An Austrian drag queen sporting a full beard has won Europe's most popular televised song competition. Conchita Wurst, the drag persona for Austrian singer Thomas Neuwirth, looked a bit like a cross between a Bond Girl and a Monty Python sketch when she took the stage in a full length golden gown to belt out her winning tune Rise Like A Phoenix on the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest, held Saturday night in Copenhagen. The competition is the most-watched non-sporting event on European television, with up to 170 million viewers tuning in. Wurst generated a lot

The crazy Eurovision bus keeps on rolling in Copenhagen tonight (May 8) as the second semi-final brings us a delightful mix of cheesecake, a drag artist and Polish cleavage. What more could you want on a Thursday night?
At the end of the evening, we will know who the 26 countries taking part in the final are and we can start digging out those Union Jack flags for Molly. But ahead of all that, here are the six acts you should be keeping an eye out for in tonight's show.
1. Poland bring some cleavage. Lots of cleavage.
Poland are bringing some serious front to this year's competition. That music video. Blimey.
With lyrics about "shaking what your mama gave you" and more sexual suggestiveness than an entire Carry On box set, Poland's Donatan & Cleo will definitely make an impression on the male population. Is the song 'We Are Slavic' actually any good?...

Copenhagen, Denmark (AP) — When Austria's entry takes the stage Thursday at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, the spotlight will slowly reveal a lone figure with wide sensual eyes, glossy painted lips, high cheekbones — and a man's full dark beard. Conchita Wurst — the alter ego of 25-year-old Austrian Thomas Neuwirth — already has shocked audiences by challenging stereotypes of masculine and feminine beauty with the song "Rise like a Phoenix." Pushing the boundaries of gender identity is nothing new at Europe's annual song contest — an extravaganza known for its eclectic, sometimes-unlistenable lineup of techno beats, love songs and pop tunes. But the backlash this year against Wurst highlights a rift between Europe's progressive liberal side and the traditional values and nationalist rhetoric of Russia and other nations taking part. Amid growing tensions over the Ukraine crisis, some in eastern Europe have blasted Wurst as an example of the West's decadence. Activists...
