- Bill Morris is known for Shirley Temple's Storybook (1958), Erotic Images (1983) and The Jerry Lewis Show (1963).
- William "Bill" Morris began his Hollywood-Burbank career as a time keeper in the Burbank NBC TV carpenter shop, calculating carpenter's daily rate, overtime schedules, for the studio's payroll division. The Production Designer Bob Kelley, designing scenery for the Dinah Shore Musical Variety weekly show, gave Bill his first draftsman-assistant design position by plucking him from the Carpenter Office pool, giving him a drafting table in the NBC mezzanine art department. Bob Kelley, a staff Art Director-Designer, an employee in the NBC Art Department, was paid the normal pay scale of approximately $400.00 a week. The Network charged the Dinah Shore Production Company $2,500.00 a week for his services. Upon discovering how underpaid he was, compared to a mid level NBC executive-position, Kelley asked for a pay raise in compensation for what the show was paying for his services. Bob's request was denied! Bob Kelley quit the show and NBC TV. With his vacancy unexpected, management made Bill Morris, Bob Kelley's Assistant, an Art Director, promoting Bill during the mid-season of the show-1959 season-series taping schedule.
- The 38th Academy Awards "Oscar", designed by Bill Morris, telecast by ABC TV, from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, was the first time ABC TV presented the 1966 "color" televised awards ceremony. The first time the "Oscar Show" occurred away from Hollywood. Also a first, and only time, actual ponds of water with spritzing water fountain sprays were used as set-scenery elements. The water pond tanks were approximate - twelve (12") inches deep for the fountain pump mechanism. Flanking the center downstage "Oscar Podium", six ponds, at various height levels, positioned to appear as cascading levels were featured stage left and right. The fountain sprays had to be shut down during award category announcements/presentations because of the water noise.
