Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Chad Dimera (Billy Flynn) has struggled for the past two years since the murder of his wife Abigail Dimera (Marci Miller). Although it wasn’t clear immediately who the culprit was, the killer turned out to be Clyde Weston (James Read).
Clyde had only recently been released from prison and seemed to have turned over a new leaf. He even started a sweet romance with Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo). But none of it was real, and Abigail paid the price.
Days Of Our Lives spoilers – Chad Dimera Almost Killed Clyde Weston!
Chad was beside himself once he found out and almost executed Clyde. But Ej DIMera (Dan Feuerriegel) stopped Chad from killing Clyde. Chad relented and took some comfort in the fact that Clyde was going to prison for a very long time.

Documentary following a group of women dancers over 60 is well made but leaves you wondering if there’s more to know about these spirited performers
Maria Loohufvud and Love Martinsen, a married couple as well as artistic collaborators, make their feature debut as directors with this affectionate portrait of the Calendar Girls, an amateur dance troupe based in southern Florida. Entirely made up of women over the age of 60, a few considerably older, the dancers perform on flatbed trucks in parades and retirement homes, community centres and private events in order to raise funds for Southeastern Guide Dogs, an organisation that trains guide dogs for veterans and other visually impaired people. Dressed in homemade, leg-revealing spandex and sparkle-festooned outfits that variously suggest unicorns or “patriotic reindeer” at Christmas time, the women perform dance sequences set to an eclectic selection of tunes, from Harry Belafonte’s Jump in the Line and Everybody by the Backstreet Boys,...

In the 1970s and ’80s, a man who would come to be known as the Golden State Killer burglarized, raped and murdered his way through swaths of California yet always evaded capture. And when writer Michelle McNamara became aware of his crimes in the early 2000s, she just couldn’t shake the case.
McNamara’s work to chronicle the grievous misdeeds of the Golden State Killer (a name she coined) became the basis of a Los Angeles magazine article and later, a book. HBO’s I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, a docuseries based on McNamara’s nonfiction work which premiered Sunday,...

Zoe Carides has been a leading light on stage and screen for 35 years, has had her own Nancy Sinatra tribute band for six years and is often sought after for voice-overs.

Let no one accuse Oprah Winfrey of letting her Own channel become the unofficial Tyler Perry network. Now comes word that Own is developing "Tulsa" (working title), a two-night miniseries set to star Oscar winner Octavia Spencer ("The Help"). The miniseries will tell the story of the largest race riot in U.S. history, during which 300 people are believed to have been murdered. With Spencer's name above the title, we can't help but think this is sure to be Emmy Awards bait. Describing this as "a story that was largely covered up for decades," Own says that Spencer will be playing the role of Mattie Clay, a journalist who moves back to Tulsa after a stint in Chicago where she must "face the demons of her past and decide where her future lies." The miniseries will be executive produced by Nancy Miller ("Saving Grace"), and co-executive producers are Valerie Woods...

There’s a big surprise today in the Writers Guild West‘s 2013 initial list of election candidates: the scribe selected to run against incumbent president Christopher Keyser declined the nomination. That means, unless someone else can be convinced to run, Keyser right now is running unopposed. He was a newcomer to Wgaw leadership first elected two years ago when he defeated the polarizing Patric Verrone. Even back then, in 2011, few people stepped forward to run for the presidency: insiders told me that was because of great apathy. I moved to Los Angeles from New York in 1992. I had never been here before. I just kind of showed up. I didn’t have a car and had about $150. My best friend, José, was nice enough to let me share his studio apartment in Santa Monica, which was literally a lean-to—I’m sure it’s been demolished by now. We weren’t in a romantic relationship, but we shared the same full-size bed, which was wedged inside the kitchen area, for almost a year. What’s insane is that we thought nothing of it. I thought everything was great. My older sister Margie had more sense. She came from Illinois to visit me, and since there was nowhere for her to sleep, the three of us now had to share the same bed. In the morning she sat bolt upright and shouted,...

The shows you get out of Lifetime can be pretty hit or miss. That's generally a good thing as far as I'm concerned. You either love Drop Dead Diva, or you hate it, and I for one appreciate the "not for everyone" approach to show design. It's a recipe that gets trickier when you're venturing out into the massively overpopulated world of crime shows though, and Lifetime's new efforts, The Protector and Against the Wall, are faced with a tough road with genre norms butting heads against network image.
Shows focusing on cops and/or crime aren't well-suited to flights of fancy, or niche shtick, like several of Lifetime's other working models, and when people think Lifetime, a network that's going to suck in crime show fans is not exactly what leaps to mind.
I'm still not convinced by Lifetime's effort at balancing things with The Protector.

Debra Granik's "Winter's Bone" was the big winner in Park City Saturday night, as it won both the dramatic competition grand jury prize and the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. Earlier in the day, the gritty drama secured North American distribution through Roadside Attractions for release later this year.
The film, about an unflinching Ozark Mountain girl trudging through dangerous social terrain as she hunts down her missing father, was adapted from the Daniel Woodrell novel by Granik and Anne Rosellini. Granik's previous film, the 2004 Sundance entry "Down to the Bone," won her a dramatic directing award.
The rest of the awards were fairly well spread around at the Saturday night ceremony hosted by David Hyde Pierce, who starred in the Park City at Midnight entry "The Perfect Host" this year.

Sad news for Holly Hunter fans: TNT can’t save Grace.
The Hollywood Reporter announced last week that Saving Grace will end its run after a nine-episode final season next summer.
In this case, the network didn’t make the decision. TNT wanted a fourth season, but Fox TV Studios, which produces Saving Grace, turned down the offer for financial reasons. I’m guessing that a lot of the expense has to do with the fabulous star of the show, Holly Hunter.
Hunter’s Grace Hanadarko has been a stereotype breaker as a “mature” detective with an uninhibited lifestyle. Grace works and plays with abandon — and that includes her sex life. Before Saving Grace, we rarely, if ever, saw an over-40 woman character on television enjoying sex as unselfconsciously as Grace. And Holly Hunter, who turned 50 last year, looks damn good naked.
(Sorry, you’ll have to do that photo research for yourself.

Holly Hunter is bidding goodbye to her gunslinging role on U.S. TV series Saving Grace - the police drama has been cancelled by network bosses.
The actress plays an Oklahoma City police detective opposite Kenneth Johnson, Leon Rippy and Laura San Giacomo on the TNT show.
U.S. reports suggest high production costs are behind the cancellation, which will see the series end in 2010, after its final season airs next summer. However, network bosses have refused to confirm the rumours.
Programming executive Michael Wright says, "Since Saving Grace began in 2007, the series has both challenged and entertained viewers in ways few other shows on television ever dare. The show's continued success is thanks to the amazing talents of Holly Hunter and (creator/writer/producer) Nancy Miller, along with a tremendous ensemble cast and a highly skilled production team. They have taken us on a unique journey, and we look forward to seeing where it will ultimately lead."...

The run of TNT's drama series "Saving Grace" will come to an end with a nine-episode final season slated to air next summer.
Originally, the cable network had ordered a typical split 15-episode third season -- nine to run this summer and six in the winter.
TNT now has ordered three more episodes, which will be added to the six earmarked for winter, and the nine episodes will run next summer.
It is understood that TNT offered "Grace" producer Fox TV Studios a full-blown fourth-season pickup, but the studio declined to accept it for financial reasons.
"Grace" is an expensive drama fronted by an A-list talent, Oscar winner Holly Hunter.
Faced with the possibility for an abrupt end to the show, known for its woven story lines, TNT decided to order the extra episodes that would tie up all the loose ends. The network also opted give the show a proper sendoff in the summer,...

Until The Closer, TNT was little more than a dumping ground for shows which had long ago reached syndication and needed a secondary arena to rake in the cash. The Closer changed everything for TNT; the cable staple realized there might be something to having a few original series under their belt. A few years later they debuted Saving Grace and lo and behold the series became a magnet for awards nominations. Saving Grace takes a precarious balance between agonizing drama the lighthearted levity of family oriented programs like 7th Heaven.
