While I wasn’t surprised to see Macklemore & Lewis receive seven Grammy nominations announced, I was a bit shocked that their entry for Song of the Year turned out to be “Same Love” featuring Mary Lambert. They’ll be taking on Pink, Katy Perry, Lordes, and Bruno Mars in the category.

After the kid-friendly movie The Pacifier, it seemed like Vin Diesel would never been seen again in the action movie world. The success of Fast & Furious and the even bigger success of Fast Five ensured he still has a career in the genre, but Diesel is returning to the family-friendly territory in a film that sounds like a live action version of The Iron Giant (in which he provided the voice for the title character). Deadline reports "Smallville" creators Alfred Gough and Miles Miller are in negotiations to write The Machine, a story about a machine built to be a weapon who's decommissioned and befriended by a boy 20 years later. The original screenplay was written by Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon, the minds behind Night at the Museum and Action No. 1, the awesome-sounding story of comic book theft based on actor Nicolas Cage's real life. Gough and...

Could ABCs new trifecta of angels be answering the phone, “Good Morning Michael” this fall? They could if Smallville’s Michael Rosenbaum has anything to say about it.
“Rosenbaum keeps sending me tapes to be the voice of Charlie — seriously — he’s sent me three,” revealed Charlie’S Angels co-creator Al Gough when asked at this morning’s Television Critics Association Press Tour about the chances of seeing any of his former Smallville co-workers pop up on Angels now that they may-or have some time on their hands. “I think he might be a little young, but we’d obviously love to have any of them come on the show at some point.”
As for what Gough thought about Smallville’s controversial series finale and just what he might have done different had he still been running the series alongside co-creator Miles Miller (Who, for the record, didn’t see the finale.

ABC's reboot of Charlie's Angels is already deep into a director and cast search, so a formal pilot pickup has been, well, a formality. It came this morning. The remake of the 1970s series, described as a modern take on the Angels set in Miami, hails from Sony Pictures TV and Drew Barrymore's Flower Films. Alfred Gough and Miles Miller penned the script and are executive producing with with Leonard Goldberg, executive producer of the original series, Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen. Previous: ABC's 'Charlie's Angels' To Shoot Pilot...

ABC is reportedly moving forward with the development of its Charlie's Angels remake. According to Deadline, a pilot of the project will soon be made. The production team behind the CW’s “Smallville” has brought a lawsuit against the CW network and Warner Bros. TV. Miles Miller and Alfred Gough, creators and executive producers, along with Tollin/Robbins Productions, the series’ co-producer, are suing the studio and network for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.
The producers blame Warner Bros. for “depriving them of compensation to which they are entitled … by failing to maximize profits from the series” and “are looking to recover ‘millions of dollars’ of unpaid compensation”, claiming that Warner Bros. practiced “unfair self-dealing include licensing the series for broadcast on its own affiliated WB and CW networks for unreasonably low, below-market license fees, resulting in lower gross revenues for the series and less compensation for plaintiffs, and failing to renegotiate the series’ license fee to cover its production cost.”

The creators of "Smallville," the long-running series about Superman's teen years, are suing Warner Bros., claiming the studio has cheated them out of millions in profits. “Justice.” It was one of the greatest Smallville episodes ever made. Prior to Season 6’s legendary Episode 11, Alfred Gough and Miles Miller would give their viewing audience small doses of heroic cameos. The Flash had made multiple appearances. Then Aquaman and Cyborg joined the fray. Finally, we had our team lead, the Green Arrow. Ever since the Justice League finally came together as a unified force on Smallville, fans have demanded the return of the Jla. Instead, we got more cameos and guest-spots. The Black Canary and Zatana both passed through Smallville for a quick “hi and bye.” The Martian Manhunter was a lynchpin in Clark’s growth, but then he lost his powers saving Clark from Bizarro and subsequently got the Smallville boot. The Green Arrow, ironically the only Jla member without powers, was the only hero to achieve longevity on Smallville. To compensate for the lack of heroic...

Kristin Dos Santos at E!online provided fans of Smallville with a ton of information regarding the eight and final season of the CW series. It returns to the air in September and leaves the farm community further behind as the action seems to be concentrated more and more on the Daily Planet in nearby Metropolis.
Darren Swimmer, one of the four executive producers trying to replace Alfred Gough and Miles Miller, explained, "[Clark]’s going to be seeking out the trouble, as opposed to reacting to trouble when it happens. One of his main motivations for going to the Daily Planet was to be somewhere where the information comes in."
As a result, not only does Clark now work at the Dp, but Lois Lane (Erica Durance) and Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore) continue their employment. In a nice twist, it’s Jimmy, not Lois, who starts to suspect Clark may...
