- Visited many of the locations in Rome, Italy, featured in the movie Roman Holiday (1953) in November 2014, including the entrance to Joe Bradley's apartment on Via Margutta 51, the Spanish Steps, and the "Mouth of Truth" (Bocca Della Verità).
- Wrote the song "In the Night", which he sings while playing the guitar in the movie Psycho Scarecrow (1996).
- Visited some of Berlin, Germany's many recognizable filming locations in January 2006, including the Oberbaum Bridge and the Gendarmenmarkt square, featured in Run Lola Run (1998), and The Westin Grand Hotel Berlin, featured in The Bourne Supremacy (2004).

- Made his film debut as a Russian boxing fan in Rocky IV (1985), and can be seen standing "camera left" of Sylvester Stallone during Rocky's big speech to the Russian crowd near the end of the movie.
- Hiked up to Preikestolen (or "Pulpit Rock") on July 5th, 2019 in Rogaland county near Stavanger, Norway, filming location for the the final scene of the final episode of the second season of Vikings (2013- ), as well as the climactic fight scene in Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).
