Alvin J. Paris, who allegedly attempted to bribe two members of the New
York Football Giants, Merle Hapes and Frank Filchock, to fix a game. As
a result of her notoriety, the February 10, 1947 issue of LIFE carried
a sexy glamorous of her. The magazine referred to her as a
"professional contortionist.".
