Golo Mann was born on 27 March 1909 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. He was a director and writer, known for Deutsche Geschichte seit 1815 (1965), Wallenstein (1978) and Katja Mann: A Life with Thomas Mann (1969). He died on 7 April 1994 in Leverkusen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
