- Günther Lüders was born on March 5, 1905 in Lübeck, Germany. He was an actor and director, known for Kein Auskommen mit dem Einkommen! (1957), Vater, unser bestes Stück (1957) and Rosen im Herbst (1955). He died on March 1, 1975 in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, West Germany.
- Gaunt German leading actor/director of stage and screen. Often seen in eccentric or clever roles. Began his career with touring repertory companies and in Berlin cabarets "Katakombe" and "Tingeltangel". Last as actor-manager in Stuttgart, 1960-63. Was interned in a concentration camp in 1935 for ideological opposition to the Nazi regime.
- Because of his critical attitude towards the Nazis , he was imprisoned in 1935 for three weeks in Esterwegen .
- He also directed three movies in the 50's.
- The actor Günther Lüders followed a touring company in 1923 and got an engagement at the Stadttheater Lübeck one year later.
- After the war the theater was the heart of his activity for the present, in the 50's followed again many film offers and Günther Lüders played often funny roles.
