Marshall Lytle(1933-2013)

Marshall Lytle joined Bill Haley and
the Saddlemen in 1951, playing bass and also performing as a featured
vocalist. He stayed with Haley after the band changed its name to
Bill Haley and the Comets, and
Lytle played bass on the famous recording of "Rock Around the Clock" in
1954. In late 1955 Lytle quit the Comets to form The Jodimars alongside
former Comets Dick Richards Boccelli and 'Joey Ambrose' (qv_. Lytle
continued to perform as a solo act after the Todimars broke up in 1958
before changing his name to Tommy Page and entering the real estate
business. In 1987 Lytle participated in a Comets reunion and continues
to perform, record and write songs (as Tommy Page) with the band today.
He is a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
