Sony’s Spider-Man Universe will continue with Venom: The Last Dance as the last chapter in the trilogy is confirmed to follow up the 2021 sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The series is highly anticipated to follow the antihero Marvel Comics character, Eddie Brock, and the alien organism which bonds well with his symbiotic alter ego. Despite the character’s absence from standalone films, Venom has made a memorable appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline following a brief crossover in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
After Sony’s villainverse was brought to the MCU in Let There Be Carnage, Marvel fans are eagerly waiting to see what’s next for Venom. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait much longer as The Last Dance is already underway with a new storyline, a new writer, and a new director.

Venom: The Last Dance has finally released its first trailer which dives into Eddie Brock/ Venom’s journey as it comes to an end. In Venom: Let There Be Carnage's post-credits scene, Eddie Brock was teleported from his reality to Earth-616 (a.k.a. the Marvel Cinematic Universe).
His beaten-up Mexico hotel was replaced by what looked like a 5* resort, with the Venom Symbiote taking great interest in a TV news report about the wall-crawler. The stage was then set for a meeting between the two characters, only for Spider-Man: No Way Home to end with the reveal that Eddie never left his resort.
However, Venom did leave a piece of himself behind on Earth-616 in a scene clearly meant to open the door to Tom Holland's Peter Parker getting his own alien suit.
With Eddie sent back to where he came from, only a bartender - played by Ted Lasso's Cristo Fernández - was left to comment on the fact his sole customer vanished without paying his tab.

Eddie Brock and his…better(?) half “may not make it out of [this one] alive.” That’s probably why the third and final film in the “Venom” series is subtitled “The Last Dance.”
On Monday, Sony Pictures released the trailer for the Marvel movie that officially makes “Venom” a trilogy. You would think by now the Tom Hardy character and his frenemy alien symbiote would have their timing down a bit better, but an early (and comedic) scene in the official trailer proves they’ve still got some work to do. The levity soon gives way to Brock/Venom biting four guys’ heads off — classic Venom.
In “Venom: The Last Dance,” the guys are on the lam — and it’s not just their Earth enemies who are closing in. The film’s tagline is “‘Til Death Do They Part,” which does not particularly promise a happy ending.

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, even if Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock is still getting a bit used to sharing headspace with an alien symbiote.

Venom: The Last Dance is billed as Hardy’s final installment as the Marvel anti-hero, a role he last played in Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). This time around, Hardy shares a story credit on the film with Kelly Marcel, who directs.

‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ marked the second chapter in the animated Spider-Verse series led by Miles Morales, currently one of the most beloved animated Spider-Man characters worldwide. His works range from comedies like “Why Am I Doing This?” to dramas such as “Find Me.” For his latest feature, which he also wrote the screenplay for, he would incorporate elements that draw influence from his personal experiences with his family. “Dealing with Dad” would receive positive audience feedback and take home numerous awards from various film festivals.

"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" had big shoes and expectations to fill. The sequel is coming after an Oscar win and a revolution in Hollywood studio animation that has inspired experimentation in every major studio. And yet, the movie not only exceeded expectations but also crushes them. This is a grand achievement in myth building and deconstruction, with the film pulling not an "Empire Strikes Back" but a "Matrix Reloaded," interrogating the idea and tropes of the hero, while continuing Miles' poignant coming-of-age story.
Unsurprisingly, the film is gorgeous. It is easy to take that for granted but to see it with your own eyes defies description and expectations. Like the first film, it breaks apart the rules of animation to challenge the entire medium, but "Across the Spider-Verse" goes beyond, breaking film itself like it's the second coming of Chuck Jones and Michael Maltese's "Duck Amuck." Ok, still here? Let’s get into it. For some, it felt inevitable that the core three Spider-Man might show up somehow. And yes, two of them did. Repurposed footage of both Andrew Garfield’s and Tobey Maguire’s take on the wallcrawler showed up in the movie. But there are a few major characters who showed up in the flesh.

This article contains major spoilers for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse."
The central gimmick of both 2018's "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" and its new follow-up, "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," is that — thanks to multiverse shenanigans — any version of Spider-Man can appear and interact with any other version. The films center primarily on Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and a spider-powered version of Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), but incorporate dozens of other Spider-People in supporting roles, including some of the stranger ones, like the anthropomorphic pig Spider-Ham (John Mulaney) or the rumpled-rock-flyer-constructed Spider-Punk (Daniel Kaluuya). Many Spider-Fans entered these films with mental notepads, eager to see their own favorite version of Spider-Man represented on the big screen. Personally, I was chuffed to see the Scarlet Spider (Andy Samberg), the 1990s Spider-Man clone in a ripped sweatshirt.
The "Spider-Verse" gimmick of "infinite inclusion" also tapped into the movies' thematic underpinnings. The 2018 film stated outwardly...

It looks like "Venom 3" is continuing the series' trend of having a new director for each installment, and that might be a good thing. That's because Deadline is reporting that Kelly Marcel, who has written both "Venom" and "Venom: Let There Be Carnage," will be taking over the director's spot for this trilogy closer.
And yes, you read that right. According to Deadline's insiders, "Venom 3" will close out the story of the troublesome symbiote and its journalist host, Eddie Brock, portrayed by Tom Hardy. The actor became more creatively involved in the franchise with 2021's sequel, co-writing the film's bonkers story with Marcel. It was announced back in June that he returned to the writer's chair for "Venom 3," although Marcel once again wrote the completed script. It is unclear when filming on the project will begin.
Marcel being chosen as the director of "Venom 3" is not surprising in the least bit.

"All I ever wanted in this world... is carnage." Who's hungry - it's time to meet the vicious red symbiote! Sony Pictures has released the second official trailer for the Marvel sequel titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage, aka just Venom 2. The first trailer for this dropped at the beginning of the summer, but with more VFX finished now we can get a much better look at Carnage vs Venom in this new trailer. Directed by Andy Serkis, this new sequel introduces us to the other fan-favorite villain. Woody Harrelson co-stars as Cletus Kasady, the serial killer who also becomes the host of an alien symbiote. Tom Hardy is back as Venom / Eddie Brock, along with Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Peggy Lu as Mrs. Chen. This looks way, way better than the first movie - fully embracing the absurdity of the alternate personality aspect of Venom + Eddie,...

"Yummy!" Sony Pictures has unveiled an official trailer for the Marvel sequel titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage, aka just Venom 2. The first Venom movie was generally disliked by most critics for being too wacky, but that didn't stop them from bringing him back for more! Directed by Andy Serkis, this new sequel introduces us to the other fan-favorite villain Carnage. Woody Harrelson co-stars as Cletus Kasady, the serial killer who also becomes the host of an alien symbiote. Tom Hardy returns as Venom / Eddie Brock, and the cast includes Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Peggy Lu as Mrs. Chen. This trailer itself looks So much better than the first movie. That final shot of Carnage still needs some VFX polish, but so far so good! I've got a much better feel about this. It seems they've figured out the balance of humor and horror.
