Appeared for 6 years (1980-1986) as singer and night club owner Liz Curtis on the NBC daytime soap "Days of Our Lives," where she was able to frequently perform on the show. Towards the end of her run on the show, Gloria recorded the duet "Friends and Lovers" with Carl Anderson ("Judas" in "Jesus Christ Superstar"). The soap's writers worked in Carl (playing himself) and the song's recording as a way to help eventually write Gloria's character off the show. The promotional angle of the story helped Gloria receive her only #1 on the Billboard charts.
