- Married Bernard Dillon in Fenruary 1914 in the British Consulate, Portland, Oregon. She and Dillon had been denied access to the US a few months earlier because of "lewd and lascivious conduct" - they lived together. (She had only separated from her 2nd husband in 1910, they never divorced)
- Sister of stage actress Grace Lloyd and Alice Lloyd.
- Although a big star, she joined the pickets in the music hall strike of 1907. When a third-rate singer tried to cross the picket line, Lloyd said "let her through girls, she'll close the music hall faster than we can". The singer was Belle Elmore, later murdered by her husband, Dr Crippen.
- Mother of Marie Lloyd, (who was usually billed as Marie Lloyd Jr.) (1888-1967).
- She was stranded in Cleveland, Ohio during the "White Hurricane Storm" in November 1913. She spent Sunday night on the train to Cincinatti but it never left outside Cleveland. She returned to the Statler Hotel where she stayed until the tracks were cleared for rail travel.

- Was portrayed by Jessie Wallace in Miss Marie Lloyd (2007).
