- (September 28, 1936) Radio: Lux Radio Theatre (CBS) "The Plutocrat" as Lawrence Ogle. The 100th broadcast of this series features many stars. The Booth Tarkington story of "The Plutocrat" features Wallace Beery, Linden, Clara Kimball Young, Marjorie Rambeau and Cecilia Parker. Composer Victor Young plays his "Je Vous Adore" from Fatal Lady (1936). Other guests include Beery's daughter Carol Ann Beery, Walt Disney, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. 60 minutes.

- (November 30, 1930) Radio: The Campus aka The Adventures of Dick Trevor, Freshman (NBC) Linden stars as Dick Trevor, a freshman at co-ed Wycliff College in Three Oaks, Indiana. The show runs until June 13, 1931. This is the show that brought Linden to the attention of a talent scout and led to his signing a contract with RKO. 30 minutes.
- (December 6, 1935) Radio: Hollywood Hotel (CBS) Louella Parsons welcomes guests Linden, Lionel Barrymore and Spring Byington. They perform an excerpt from Ah Wilderness! (1935). 60 minutes.
- (November 22, 1929) Stage: The Road to Rome, by Robert E. Sherwood, at the Théâtre Fémina in Paris, France. The premiere production of the American Repertory Company's six play series. Linden, a member of the company, has the juvenile lead. "The Barker," "Beyond the Horizon," "Holiday," "Enter Madame" and an English language version of Molière's "Le bourgeois gentilhomme" were the other plays in the series.
- (December 7, 1944) Radio: Finish the Job (CBS) Ralph Bellamy hosts this Sixth War Loan Drive program to promote the sale of War Bonds. An overview of the war is presented along with comments from wounded servicemen and families of those killed in the war. Linden appears along with Ronny Liss, Jackson Beck, Kermit Murdock, Richard Widmark, Joe De Santis, Jim Boles, Bill Quinn, Larry Haines and Phillip Pine with the Ben Ludlow Orchestra. 55 minutes.
- (December 23, 1944) Radio: The Land is Bright (CBS) "Shopping Days and Silent Nights" The premiere of the series looks at Christmas and the many different ways people experience the holiday season. Linden appears along with Jerry Macy, William Keene, Bess McCammon, Florida Friebus, Alice Goodkin, Jim Boles, Ben Cooper, Mary Ellen Glass and the Alexander Semmler Orchestra. 30 minutes.
- (February 4, 1942) Stage: Brighton Rock as Pinkie Brown at the Catholic University of America Theatre in Washington, D.C.. An original adaptation of the Graham Greene novel by Walter Kerr and Leo Brady, directed by Kerr and Dr. Josephine McGarry Callan. The show runs until February 10, 1942.
- (July 1945) Stage: Trio as Ray MacKenzie at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles. This controversial play about an older female college professors attraction to one of her female students by Dorothy Baker and Howard Baker caused quite a stir on Broadway. The New York City License Commissioner refused to renew the New York Belasco Theatre's license if the show continued in February 1945 and the show closed. The play opened in Los Angeles with no controversy. Lois Wheeler recreated her Broadway role as the young girl with Trudi Burr as the professor and Linden as the man who comes between them. Both the New York and Los Angeles productions received poor reviews with the talky script identified as the main problem with the show.
- (1928) Stage: Linden signed on with the Theatre Guild in New York City and appeared in small parts in their productions of Marco Millions, Strange Interlude, Volpone and Faust.
- (August 1941) Stage: Linden appears at the Bass Rocks Theatre in Gloucester, Massachusetts in Ladies in Retirement with Fritzi Scheff, Ann Dere and Katharine Bard, Another Language, and The Philadelphia Story with Diana Barrymore.
