- Daniel Lillford is known for Two Penny Road Kill (2013), Copperhead (2013) and Scotland, Pa. (2001).
- His favorite film is David Lean's "Lawrence of Arabia", followed closely by Ingmar Bergman's "Wild Strawberries".
- He has written plays all his life, winning numerous awards and nominations, and has had over 40 productions in Australia, Canada, the United States and Scotland.
- Though he didn't know it at the time, he first met his future wife, Rachel Brighton, in 1987, at an Italian restaurant called Johnny's Green Room, where she worked, opposite La Mama Theatre in Melbourne, where his play "Quintessence" was playing at the time. A play he'd prefer had never seen the light of day.
- Daniel's great-grandfather, Charles Lillford-Delph, was an actor in Victorian London. His brother, Daniel's great-uncle, Harry Lillford, also an actor, left England for America, settling in New York City, where he had a successful career on Broadway working with the likes of Ronald Coleman and Claudette Colbert.
