This post contains spoilers for "Skinamarink."
Writer/director Kyle Edward Ball's "Skinamarink" is a wholly thrilling experience, a horror film that teaches you how to watch it while you watch it, a brazen work of experimental art released into domestic multiplexes, and cleaning up in the process, it seems. One of its innovations lies in the way its cinematography and aesthetic are constructed out of liminal spaces. As /Film's Joe Roberts pointed out recently, Ball is an avowed fan of the meme, admitting that a subreddit devoted to liminal spaces influenced him when making the film. The subreddit defines the term using text from the Cambridge Art Association:
"A liminal space is the time between the 'what was' and the 'next.' It is a place of transition, a season of waiting, and not knowing. Liminal space is where all transformation takes place."
Gee, that sounds kinda similar to:...

Jeremy Licht, the kid in the green on the right, isn’t known so well that he would be someone that might stand out unless a person had seen him in his many TV roles over the years, but it would appear that he’s been working up until several years ago unless of course, he has projects that haven’t been announced, which is kind of hard to believe. But like a lot of TV stars, he’s gone under the radar when it comes to being famous and while it’s possible that a large number of people still know who he is,

What do Maureen Flannigan, Keith Coogan, and Josie Davis have in common? Aside from being former child stars from neon-splattered ’80s sitcoms, the three are all CCOKCs (pronounced exactly how you think it is): Child Celebrities Opposing Kirk Cameron.
In a new Funny Or Die video, the erstwhile teen thespians — including Kenn Michael (The Parent ‘Hood), Brice Beckham (Mr. Belvedere), Jeremy Licht (The Hogan Family), and a surprisingly hot Christine Lakin (Step by Step) — join together in solidarity against their former peer Kirk Cameron, whose incendiary remarks about homosexuals launched the wrath of a thousand seven child stars.

Everybody loves evil children! Judging from its trailer, the wide release of The Unborn this weekend promises to unleash a new terrifying tot upon a nation of unsuspecting teens. But the idea of scary juveniles extends far beyond the expected audience for David Goyer's jolt-fest.
One writer suggested that the idea of evil children originated "in the biblical tale of Elisha's mockery," in which 42 small boys disrespected a prophet of God -- and were promptly torn to pieces by two bears. The silver screen featured dozens of bratty kids in the 30s and 40s (e.g. the Dead End Kids/Bowery Boys) but none as murderously terrifying as 10-year-old Rhoda Penmark (Patty McCormack) in Mervyn LeRoy's The Bad Seed (1956), a rebel yell against a conformist generation of "perfect" suburban families.
The 50s also produced Jerome Bixby's short story "It's a Good Life," featuring a three-year-old with more...
