Chris Ledesma has lived his whole life in Southern California. He
started playing piano by ear at age 3 and then took formal trumpet
lessons beginning in the 3rd grade. After deciding at an early age to seek a career
in music, he later attended California Institute of the Arts and San
Francisco Conservatory of Music as an orchestral conducting major. His
first music editing duties were on a student film at CalArts which
prompted him to pursue music editing as his career.
His first job in showbiz came in 1984 as a Tour Guide at Universal Studios Hollywood where, when he wasn't riding the tram, he was able to sit in and observe television scoring sessions for shows like "Murder, She Wrote", "Magnum P. I.", "Airwolf", and "Amazing Stories". This was a priceless education that could never have been offered at any college or university.
His first music editing opportunity came in 1986 working at the premier music editing house, Segue Music, then later at Music Design Group and Music Works. Chris went independent in 1992, forming his own company, Click Track, Inc. Since then he has been the music editor for a number of feature films ("Pure Country", "Robin Hood: Men in Tights", "Blast from the Past" among others), and Emmy award-winning Television shows ("Gypsy" starring Bette Midler, "War and Remembrance", and 20 installments of the highly acclaimed "Hallmark Hall of Fame").
But the love of his music editing life -- and the greatest break he could never have dreamed of -- is working on "The Simpsons". The show is now in its record-smashing 30th season and Chris has music-edited ALL of its 700+ episodes.
He is even luckier to be married to Michelle, his beautiful wife of 39 years. They have raised two amazing daughters together and Chris added "Grandfather" to his resume in 2010.
