Crass it might sound, there are so many people passing away at this time that trying to keep track of everyone is becoming difficult. Slowing down and taking the time to realize who each person was and what they did for their respective industry however is important since each person that has passed has been important in some way. Jackie Lane is a name that Doctor Who superfans will likely know a little bit about since she did star in the show for a while before becoming a theatrical agent. While she might not have had the longest run in

Dodo Chaplet
Portrayed by: Jackie Lane
Doctor(s): First Doctor
Tenure: 6 stories, The Massacre of St. Bartholomew’s Eve (Feb, 1966) to The War Machines (July, 1966)
Background: We know very little about Dodo when she literally wanders into the Tardis right before it takes off, thinking it’s a police box. We do find out her grandfather is French, letting viewers hope that potential Companion Anne Chaplet from The Massacre of St. Bartholomew’s Eve survived the slaughter of the Huguenots. Dodo, short for Dorothea, is a British teen from 1966, making her contemporary for when her stories aired.
Family: She has a strained relationship with her great-aunt, with whom she lives, and she states she doesn’t think she’ll be missed.
Personality: Dodo is a very laid back girl, surprisingly unshaken by her accidental kidnapping and her adventures throughout the universe. She breezes into and later out of the Tardis,...

The serial called Doctor Who.s worst turns out to not be exactly terrible, but does have some annoying bits. One thing is for certain . William Hartnell is having a helluva time. It may be the fun before the fall as behind-the-scenes much was going on with the show. The Tardis deposits the Doctor (William Hartnell), Steven (Peter Purves), and Dodo (Jackie Lane) arrive in the town of Tombstone in the old West. The Doctor has a toothache so he goes in search of a dentist who turns out to be Doc Holliday (Anthony Jacobs). Holliday is feuding with the Clanton clan and when they go gunning for the dentist they mistake the Doctor for him. This case...

During Doctor Who's 47 years, companions have come and gone and have stuck by the good Doctor through thick and thin. We've had all sorts of companions, from plucky journalists through to shifty non-public school boys; leggy swinging 60s dolls through to haughty Time Lady ice-maidens and trusty schoolteachers through to – erm, Adric.
For completism's sake, I'm including all the companions of The Doctor, so that means one-offs too, like Adelaide and Christina – they were described in the BBC press releases as companions, so they're fair game. There'll be the equivalents of bronze, silver and gold for each category, so let the tournament commence!
Best Journey
3. Zoe Heriot (Wendy Padbury)
But after she's stowed away in the Tardis, Zoe goes from being Spock poster-girl through to a much more warm-hearted and caring companion. She still uses her total recall and whizzkid brain for defeating Cybermen fleets and finding her way through claustrophobic tunnels,...
