- Tom Krause was born on July 5, 1934 in Helsinki, Finland. He was an actor, known for Die Hochzeit des Figaro (1967), Der Freischütz (1968) and Carmen (1983). He died on December 6, 2013 in Hamburg, Germany.

- He originally studied medicine, while singing and playing guitar in a jazz band on the side. His vocal talent soon took him to the Vienna Music Academy. He made his operatic debut in Berlin in 1959.
