Halloweentown's Kimberly J. Brown is sharing the little known story about how she fell in love with her co-star Daniel Kountz. Fans of the 2001 Disney Channel Original movie will remember the two actors starred in the spooky film about Marnie and her siblings' journeys to Halloweentown. Kimberly portrayed Marnie, who was introduced in the first movie, while Daniel played Kal in the sequel Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge. Of course, Kal ended up being the son of Kalabar, who Marnie and her witchy family banished in the first movie. Essentially, they could never be together because Kal was intent on avenging his father's death. As Kimberly put it in a new TikTok...

Mariah Carey may be the unofficial queen of Christmas, but Kimberly J. Brown reigns over the spooky holiday that precedes it.
Brown didn’t expect a lifetime of bewitching when she signed on as Marnie Piper in Disney Channel’s Halloweentown at age 13. Now on the 20th anniversary of the original TV movie’s 1998 debut, Brown, 33, still fully embraces the festivities surrounding Oct. 31, having released a Halloween-themed children's book, operating an Etsy shop filled with Halloweentown swag and attending Oregon’s Spirit of Halloweentown event.

Halloweentown fans, this one's for you! Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz are an item (according to social media) and our nostalgic hearts can't handle all the love. As fans of Disney Channel Original Movies know, Brown was one of the many Dcom queens back in the late '90s and early '00s. In the Halloweentown franchise specifically she played Marnie Piper, a teenage girl who discovers she is a witch and her grandmother lives in a town where all Halloween characters roam free...which is where she can learn her craft. In Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge, Marnie, Grandma Aggie (Debbie Reynolds) and the rest of her family face off against the son of their first foe named Kal (played by...

Despite being enemies in Halloweentown, Marnie and Kal have apparently fallen in love in the mortal world. After nearly a year of sharing sweet selfies, the Disney Channel original movie's Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz seemingly confirmed their relationship with a shot of them kissing on International Kissing Day in July. Fans of the '90s and '00s franchise with a cult-like following were stunned by the announcement, and Brown's post quickly amassed more than 10,000 "likes."
As it turns out, there may have been signs that the two had been dating for quite some time. Brown wished Kountz a happy birthday last year, and shortly thereafter the two celebrated Halloween together, fittingly enough, in Superman and Wonder Woman costumes. Kountz has consistently appeared on Brown's Instagram ever since. (It's worth noting that Kountz is not very active on Instagram.)
