- Harry Jans was born on June 6, 1898 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He was an actor, known for Smartest Girl in Town (1936), Don't Turn 'em Loose (1936) and Racing Lady (1937). He died on February 4, 1962 in Hollywood, California, USA.
- In February, 1935, teamed up with comedian Bert Wheeler for a vaudeville engagement in Chicago. Jans found that Wheeler was making four figures a week (Jans' fee was three digits), and found that Wheeler's name was on the marquee in enormous letters above Jans' tiny name. The engagement was never repeated.
