- Peter Jackson used much of his unique look, mannerisms and facial expressions in the CGI character of "Smeagol/Gollum" in his "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Jackson remembered him from the UK television series, Callan (1967), where his character "Lonely" was a lowlife informant criminal.
