- London County Council education department restricted her film work when she reached school age. Soon after, parts dried up anyway and Twinks kept up her interest only through amateur dramatics. However, having settled in Yorkshire in married life, she was encouraged when Paramount started filming the 1991 version of "Wuthering Heights" to seek work as an extra. Twinks had appeared in the 1920 version, also shot on location. Paramount turned her down, but the resulting publicity led to her final cameo appearance in "God on the Rocks" (1990).
