Is your heart still pounding? Culminating in the escape of Agent Dale Cooper's doppelganger, tonight's Twin Peaks was tense and terrifying enough to leave you freaked out long after "Sleep Walk" on the Double R's jukebox brought the credits to a close. But before we talk about all that, let's take a look at the dogs that didn't bark. Throughout the episode, co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost utilize the show's usual ingredients for creating supernatural suspense. The results they produce this time out, however, are completely different.

Carol Lynley (The Poseidon Adventure) was rumored to have the part back in 1991. And theories swirled over the years suggesting Agent Cooper’s trusty Gal Friday might just be a figment of his imagination. But in Sunday’s Twin Peaks, the one and only “Diane” was finally revealed to be none other than Laura Dern. (Nifty that she played his Girl Friday back in Blue Velvet too, huh?) A satisfying moment 27 years in the making (even if most of us guessed and hoped it was coming). Now, Albert (who found her in Max Von’s Bar in Philadelphia – did that...

After two seasons and 30 episodes of cherry pie and damn good coffee, dancing dwarves and one-armed men, Invitation To Love and One-Eyed Jack’s, Ghostwood Estates and Black Lodge, cross-dressing David Duchovny and near-deaf David Lynch, Twin Peaks was canceled in the summer of 1991. Going from its position as a genuine hit—with a premiere watched by over 34 million people—the life of Twin Peaks ended not with a bang but a whimper. South: Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Glorious Epic of the Antarctic It was surprising to see the large crowd waiting to get into the 2012 San Francisco Silent Film Festival screening of South: Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Glorious Epic of the Antarctic (1920). I did not think that a documentary would interest so many people, but the theater was packed. South — the screening was narrated by Paul McGann — tells the story of the 1914-1916 expedition across the Antarctic, led by explorer Ernest Shackleton on the ship "The Endurance." Shackleton was accompanied by a crew, a kennel of dogs, and photographer Frank Hurley. Whether the Antarctic adventure can be called successful or not, is up for debate. After being locked in ice for nine months, the ship got stuck, eventually shattering and sinking in the Weddell Sea. South‘s most striking scene, in fact, was of the crew watching "The Endurance" crack and fall apart in an icy grave.

Every night, we take turns and get cozy in our super-chic rocker and read at least two (but sometimes as many as five) books to Simone before she goes to bed. So we've read a lot of books in her nearly two years of life. There are some great books for kids, and a surprising number of really awful ones.
There's no telling why Simone gravitates toward certain books over others. We have maybe 50 or 60 for her to pick from, but she seems to always gravitate toward a handful of favorites. As dads, our criteria are pretty basic:
We like books with a point. That doesn't mean the book needs to have a distinct narrative with a beginning, middle, and end. It can be a basic book that showcases different colors. But it needs to be consistent and fun. We've read books that are literally four pages long and make no sense,...

Jacquie Bennett, a.k.a. mom of "Guncle" Scout Masterson, is living proof that it's never too late to follow your passion.
This retired home ec teacher (and current substitute teacher) just returned to her home in Lewistown, Pa, after a whirlwind stint at fashion week -- one of her longest-held dreams come true! And through sharing her journey, she shows us it's never too late to find your way to what you really love to do.
momlogic: Hi, Jacquie! Tell us a little about your passion for fashion.
Jacquie Bennett: I've always been a wannabe fashionista! When I was 16, I was happy as a little clam working as a sales clerk in a junior's department. I probably would've done that my whole life, but when I was graduating from high school, my father told me I had to go to college. He brought home an application to the Indiana University of Pa.

Bill Horn and Scout Masterson are the adorable "guncle" (gay uncle!) couple you wish you had in your corner on "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood."
Vivian Manning-Schaffel: When we last saw them, Bill and Scout announced their intention to adopt a child. And from their vantage point on that journey, they were kind enough to share their thoughts about "gunc" life, love, and the pursuit of fatherhood.
Momlogic: Congrats on your decision to adopt! I cried when I saw that episode of the show. How long have you guys been in the process?
Scout: We started the process last February, but there were a good five to six months of just getting everything done, from paperwork to clearances to fingerprints to physicals to home visits. I think we went on the books when we were finally able to look for a birth mom in August.
Bill: I would say it was September.
