It’s almost hard to imagine anyone else doing Bill Cutting in place of the legendary Daniel Day-Lewis in Gangs of New York, or Tim Robbins’ Andy Dufresne in The Shawshank Redemption but Hollywood veteran Tom Hanks came pretty close to playing several iconic characters including Cutting and Dufresne. The actor was also in negotiation to play one of Keanu Reeves’ roles.
Tom Hanks and Tyler Hoechlin in Road to Perdition
Of course, it’s not John Wick, it would have been kind of weird seeing Hanks as John Wick, as for fans, Reeves was immersed in the character and he is now hard to replace. But Hanks almost booked the slot of the 1994 hit action thriller, Speed. But the role eventually went to the John Wick star.

A certain actor has been taking over Hollywood as of late, and his name is Glen Powell.
The actor, hailing from Austin, Texas, has a long list of credits to his name, with various appearances on television series over the years. But, he reached movie star status after starring in two of the biggest films of the last two years.
Both Top Gun: Maverick and Anyone but You were bonafide commercial hits, but they are far from the only series and movies of Mr. Powell's you'll want to add to your must-watch list.
Powell's acting career started with a small role in Spy Kids 3-D Game, and a few years later, he went on to star in The Great Debaters alongside Hollywood heavy hitters Forest Whitaker and Denzel Washington, who also directed it.
More roles would follow that, including guest stints on CSI: Miami, Rizzoli & Isles, and NCIS.

Elden Ring is one of the most successful video game titles in recent times and has even managed to win the 2022 Game of the Year award. What it offers to the player is a unique open-world experience of a kind never seen before, all thanks to the brilliance of the game’s director, Hidetaka Miyazaki.
The player gets to come across many characters in Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Elden Ring.
One of the game’s best features is how the players come across a large number of characters in their journey to become the Elden Lord. While many of these turn out to be hostile to the players, some of them end up being loved unconditionally by the fans, and one would have a hard time believing how Ranni the Witch, a fellow Npc is voiced by an actress who also stars in the popular show, Peaky Blinders.

One of the core components of a video game is the cast that has been put behind the in-game characters. Not only do they give their voice to the character, but ultimately bring it to life making the experience worthwhile. While popular franchises, such as Final Fantasy are known for sticking with renowned actors to voice their characters, their one decision has proved to be for the worse according to their player base.
Final Fantasy cast Tyler Hoechlin for the role of Sephiroth in the games
The character of Sephiroth has always been an iconic one and was voiced by George Newbern before the year 2020. Newbern’s voice was unfortunately retired 4 years ago, and the replacement was none other than Tyler Hoechlin, an actor known for his work as Superman in CW’s Superman and Lois.

It’s easy to think of the kind of stories that get told in the comic book world as just one genre or tone, but as seen below, graphic novels, comic strips, and other sequential art have offered up an incredible range of storytelling. And these stories have been inspiring great TV shows for years, even before superhero stories dominated the box office.
There were plenty of options that nearly made the list, like the WB’s “Smallville,” which squandered its early potential after running just a few seasons too long. Because one of the most exciting things about these stories is that there’s a rich variety to choose from.
With editorial contributions from Liz Shannon Miller, Ben Travers, and Hanh Nguyen.

Even though it’s not part of the bigger Arrowverse, ‘Superman & Lois’ stands out as the CW’s top superhero show thanks to its well-written storylines. The series faced its share of challenges, especially last year when Nexstar took over CW and changes were on the horizon. While many shows were canceled during the restructuring, ‘Superman & Lois’ managed to survive. However, just before the season 3 finale, news broke that the show would continue under new leadership, albeit with some budget cuts.
These cuts led to some main cast members being let go, fewer writers, and a reduction in the number of episodes compared to previous seasons. Fans breathed a sigh of relief knowing their favorite superhero show was still alive, but their happiness was short-lived. Despite not being connected to the larger Arrowverse, ‘Superman & Lois’ is easily the best CW superhero show in terms of quality writing. The show did have its ups and downs, especially last year. Well, it seems that the Dcu is indeed playing some kind of game that the people do not like at all. With Superman and Lois being two integral characters of cinematic storytelling, it comes naturally that the two characters will indeed be seen in James Gunn’s upcoming film Superman: Legacy.

Elizabeth Tulloch has now confirmed the resumption of production for the show’s fourth and final season after a period of uncertainty and restructuring.

Despite not being connected to the larger Arrowverse, ‘Superman & Lois’ is easily the best CW superhero show in terms of quality writing. The show did have its ups and downs, especially last year. After Nexstar acquired CW and the network was bound to be restructured, ‘Superman & Lois’ survived the onslaught during which many shows were canceled. A few days before the finale of season 3 was supposed to air, the news came that the show would continue under the new leadership, but some budget cuts will be made.
The show’s fourth season will be significantly shorter than usual, with only ten episodes. A few days ago, it was announced that the show will also continue with fewer writers and a supporting cast. Only four of the 12 Season 3 series regulars, Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Michael Bishop, and Alex Garfin, are coming back, and the team of writers was slashed from eight to five,...

If it ain’t broke, the saying goes, don’t fix it. That makes Square Enix’s job with the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth an interesting one. After all, the developer broke Final Fantasy VII on purpose with Remake and now it’s begun the daunting task of not just fixing it, but crafting new bespoke parts that make for a good fit with the original game.
Granted, Square has a lot more freedom to do so, thanks to a barn-burner of a canon-busting climax for Ffvii Remake, but if anything, that means that the job is even more precarious. I was able to play a demo of Ffvii Rebirth at a closed-door event, and having put a bit of time into it, it’s at least obvious that Square is up to the task and taking some big swings. Whether those swings will connect with the audience in...

‘Superman & Lois’ was always among the best CW superhero shows. It decided to distance itself from the Arrowverse and focus on its own thing. Despite having consistently solid viewership and solid ratings overall, the show was in danger of being canceled before season 3 concluded in the first place.
‘Superman & Lois’ is expensive, even though it mostly focuses on characters and Superman’s family life. As the show was running its course, fewer and fewer scenes featured Superman in a suit fighting bad guys.

The CW’s confirmed that Superman & Lois starring Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) and Elizabeth Tulloch (Grimm) will wrap up with the upcoming fourth season. The superhero action series was the last remaining holdout from The CW’s old comic-book-inspired primetime lineup that included Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, Supergirl, Batwoman, Stargirl, and Gotham Knights.
Season four will consist of just 10 episodes and is expected to air in 2024.
“While we’re sad to say goodbye to Superman & Lois at the end of Season Four, we’re grateful for the time we’ve had with our amazing cast, crew, vfx teams, editors, musical geniuses, and writers. People often rave about how ‘Superman & Lois’ is one of the top superhero shows on the CW. Even with the CW making changes and dropping several projects, ‘Superman & Lois’ still snagged a renewal for its fourth season just weeks before the third season finale. While not officially part of the Arrowverse, the show has managed to set itself apart from other CW superhero projects that haven’t been so well-received in recent years—especially when you look at the letdown that was the finale of ‘The Flash.’
The series, which offers a unique take on Superman and stars Tyler Hoechlin, secured another season but with a notable decrease in episodes—from 13 to 10. According to Deadline, there will also be fewer cast members and a smaller team of writers.

‘Superman & Lois’ is often touted as being one of the best CW’s superhero-based shows. This is why even following CW restructuring after many projects were written off, ‘Superman & Lois’ managed to score its season 4 renewal just weeks prior to the season 3 finale. Although unofficially a part of Arrowverse, the show managed to distance itself from other CW’s similar projects that were regarded as straight-up bad in the last few years, especially looking back at the disappointing Flash finale.
The show revolving around a different take on Superman, starring Tyler Hoechlin, was renewed for one more season but at significantly fewer episodes than previous seasons, going from 13 episodes to 10 and, according to Deadline, with fewer cast members and a much smaller writers team.

Exclusive: The budget cuts that came with Superman & Lois‘ and All American: Homecoming‘s renewals at the CW are also impacting the series’ writers rooms, which are undergoing downsizing. Superman & Lois is going from eight writers to five for the upcoming fourth season, Homecoming — from nine to seven for Season 3. There are no changes in the writers room sizes of the other two CW returning original scripted series, flagships All American and Walker.
As Deadline reported, Superman & Lois and All American: Homecoming were renewed in June after producing studio Warner Bros. Television agreed to deliver the new seasons at a significantly lower license fee to make them feasible for the network under its new lower-cost original programming model. For the shows to still make financial sense for the studio, their budgets were slashed, leading to cast reductions, with not all of the series regulars asked to come back full-time.

Gangsters, mobsters, thugs, and mugs. Organized crime holds the upper tier of the international cinematic commission. “Crime pays,” Edward G. Robinson, who played Rico Bandello in the seminal gangster film Little Caesar (1931), is famous for saying. “But only in the movies.” When a good mob movie is on the table, it is an offer no filmmaker can refuse. There is more intrigue, suspense, violence, mayhem, and madness to be found in the criminal element than any other genre.
“Gone are the days of the gangsters,” audiences heard for years, usually in movies about mobsters. They always rise up, even if they are splattered across the ornate fountains of their gangland mansions in the last frame, like Al Pacino’s Tony Montana in Brian DePalma’s Scarface (1983), or rolling down the steps of a church, dead from a hail of bullets. That’s how James Cagney’s Eddie Bartlett went out in The Roaring Twenties (1939). Now,...

New images of Superman: Legacy star David Corenswet lit up social media with fans remarking on his Superman-esque physique.
There is a certain body type that many fans expect anyone who plays Superman to have: tall and built with broad shoulders and a square jaw.
Not that these are extremely hard and fast rules; Superman & Lois’ own Tyler Hoechlin is (slightly) under six feet tall, and he’s widely regarded as a fan-favorite. Still, he’s called the Man of Steel for a reason, and for better or worse, most agree that he should look like it on-screen.
