News has emerged recently that Arsenal are showing interest in an Egyptian left-back called Islam Ramadan (or ‘Milo’). The 21 year old Harras El Hodoud player is definitely an unknown quantity in England, but I happen to follow Egyptian football and will try to give an insight into what kind of player Arsenal would be getting.
Milo plays for the Egyptian Olympic football team, the equivalent to England’s U21 team, and is part of a generation of exciting young Egyptian players who are being scouted by clubs all over Europe. International teammates Mohamed Salah and Ahmed Hegazi were recently signed by Basel and Fiorentina respectively.
