He wrote special material for Ronny Graham, Pat Carroll, Kaye Ballard, Jan Murray and Dick Shawn. In addition he wrote and appeared in night club acts in New York, St. Louis, Dallas, and Bermuda. He joined NBC as a staff writer (1956-1957), and wrote the stage scores for "Fat Tuesday" and "Our Hearts Were Young and Gay", and songs for Julius Monk's revues "Shoestring '57", "Kaleidoscope", "Fallout", and "Medium Rare (Chicago), "Hostiliies of 1960" (St. Louis), and "Up Tempo" (Montreal).
