Deb Bilodeau might have won Group 2 of Jeopardy!‘s Champions Wildcard, cementing a spot in the 2024 Tournament of Champions, but it came with a couple of hiccups along the way. And she made a huge gaffe that might just be the most embarrassing in the show’s 40-season history. A lot of Jeopardy! viewers certainly seem to think so after she mistakenly mistook famed male and female US Olympians. The restaurant server from San Francisco, California, went up against podcast host Mira Hayward and customer success specialist Jesse Matheny on Thursday’s (February 22) final, where the three contestants were vying for the $100,000 prize and a spot in the Toc. Early in the episode, the three players were faced with a category titled “40 Years Ago 1984,” which included a question about legendary US male figure skater Scott Hamilton. Under the $800 tile, the contestants were asked which American at the Winter Olympics won...

The shortest answer to the question of how U.S. figure skater Nathan Chen landed his historic six quadruple jumps at the Winter Olympics last week is: He jumped, succeeded and then just kept jumping.
But there’s a longer answer, too.
“I start every day just trying to narrow down little tasks so I don’t get so overwhelmed by the whole picture, and that’s the way that I approached my long program here,” Chen, 18, tells People just a few days after his startling comeback in the men’s individual free skate on Saturday.

Scott Hamilton is counting his blessings.
After being diagnosed with his third brain tumor last summer, the Olympic figure skater learned at a February check-up that the growth — a benign pituitary tumor — has shrunk in size without treatment. Hamilton will open up about his health crises — and enduring determination — in the new People and ABC News special People Icons: Heroes & Survivors, airing Tuesday, March 14, at 10 p.m. Et on ABC.
“The nature of them is they’ll remain stable, but without treatment, they have no reason to shrink,” Hamilton, 58, tells People exclusively. “So I was the recipient of a spectacular miracle.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mike Tyson, Randy Travis, Danny DeVito and Scott Hamilton got together with a bunch of kids from the Special Olympics and made a 1988 television program A Very Special Christmas Party. If you find the Governator's DVD and Blu-ray commentary tracks amusing, this should rank right up there with the best of them. Arnie plays the pseudo Santa of the bunch, holding throne in a La-z-Boy recliner while tormenting the confused children around him with stories about satanic abduction during his childhood in Austria. It's a rollicking, merry, ho-ho good time! The surreal clip concludes with a musical number, in which we get to see Mike Tyson attempt to dance and look like he wants to get the hell out of there in a hurry. What a great bit of vintage...

Still, Green said he was happy to be off the show. "I really had to get out of there ... you know, you're in this sort of vacuum sealed arguing place, you know, everyone's just screaming at each other."

If you watched the premiere episode of "The Celebrity Apprentice" on Sunday night (March 6), you know that it instantly became one of the best shows on television. The cast is remarkable and the challenges are always a little bit insane, and the host — the amazing Donald Trump himself — is an impressive presence. Though tempers ran hot during the show on Sunday night, everybody got along just fine at the premiere party hosted by contestant John Rich. The country star invited a wacky cross-section of people to his home in Nashville, Tennessee (which he has dubbed "Mount Richmore") to watch the show and toast to the experience.

Scott Hamilton has been recuperating since last summer from surgery to repair a brain aneurysm but the Olympic champ is ready to return to the ice. "I need to get back to work," Hamilton tells People. "It's really frustrating being a public person and being more well-known for your illnesses rather than your accomplishments. Enough already!" Hamilton, 52, is about to get his wish. Brad Paisley didn't sing for his supper Monday night at La Fete du Cinema, a fundraiser for the Nashville Film Festival, he painted for it! The multi-talented musician/singer/songwriter and budding visual artist has had no formal training - "unless you count watching [PBS's] Bob Ross," he says - but his original piece of art earned $5,500 during the night's live auction. Paisley tells People he did the background of the oil painting at home, and completed it during the cocktail hour at The Standard at the Smith House, the historic building that was also the site of Paisley's video for Whiskey Lullaby.

Olympic ice skating champ Scott Hamilton is a fighter. The same tough spirit that led him to win a gold medal has helped Hamilton, 52, overcome a difficult medical crisis - undergoing brain surgery to remove a tumor and later having a brain aneurysm removed. "This," says Hamilton, tongue firmly planted in cheek, "was not the way to spend your summer vacation." During the removal of Hamilton's benign brain tumor last June in Boston, an artery was nicked during surgery. Doctors stopped the bleeding and removed the tumor, but an aneurysm formed days later. "I tried to stay positive through all this,...

Last night was the Oscars which were, by tradition, too long, not particularly funny, and predictable. I mean, it was wonderful that The Hurt Locker and Kathryn Bigelow won, but it wasn't surprising. Surprising would have been if Quentin Tarantino had taken directing for Inglourious Basterds and District 9 had won for Best Picture. This year did manage to feature one of the few Oscar montages I've ever heard people say they liked, in the form of the John Hughes tribute, but then foisted interpretive dance on us and kept up with the incredibly misguided "half an hour of actors telling other actors what awesome actors they are" method of introducing the Best Actor and Actress categories. I just feel like the Oscars overall are a huge time sink, they lasted three and a half hours. Where did that time go? They didn't even perform best songs, there was no...

South Korea's Kim Yu-Na annihilated her own record to win gold in last night's free skate (watch), so hopefully she'll stop getting angry "emails that were not congratulations" from her countrymen. My God, the pressure on this poor, sweet girl in the elegant blue frock! Even under the assurance that a whole nation might turn its back on her, the 19-year-old essayist had seemed cool and composed every time she appeared on camera during the ladies' events -- so composed that we might not have expected that unleashing of emotion after her routine's final flourish. Yu-Na was so overcome with relief,...

Despite a brilliant skate, Japan's Mao Asada (left) finished nearly five points behind South Korea's Kim Yu-Na (middle), who broke her own world record in the short program. NBC pitted the two 19-year-olds' routines side-by-side in this crazy video. So which Brian of the 1988 Battle of the Brians is Kim? Even though silver medalist Brian Orser is Kim's own coach, the answer has to be gold-medalist Boitano. The chunky jewels on Kim's mosaic-style James Bond dress simply come far closer to the gold hardware on Boitano's blue military-style costume than anything on Asada's dress ever could. But enough about that.

After becoming the second contestant fired from this season's Celebrity Apprentice, Olympic champ Scott Hamilton announced this week he is returning to his day job: ice skating. "Skating brings out the best in me," says Hamilton, who began training again in earnest late last year and plans on making a public return to the ice next fall. His comeback will come five years after he quit performing to help raise his family with wife Tracie and recover from a benign pituitary gland tumor diagnosed in 2004. "I've been at home being a dad and getting older and slower," Hamilton tells People.

Scott Hamilton has no regrets about participating in NBC's Celebrity Apprentice (Sundays, 9pm/Et). Although his elimination came early, in week two, Hamilton called it a life experience he's "absolutely grateful for." TVGuide.com checked in with the Olympic gold medalist to find out how it was to work with some interesting personalities, who should've been fired, and why he decided to take on Trump's tasks on television.
TVGuide.com: What happened?
Scott Hamilton: My strategy was never to be project manager, especially on a marketing task, so early in the game. When your name comes up from your team and they're looking at you, if you say no, there's blood in the water. They're going to smell it and jump all over you. I felt somewhat trapped, so I did it and I thought I'd make the most of it, and I tried to pull these guys together as a team.
