Made $500 a day teaching Christian Slater how to skateboard for the
movie, Gleaming the Cube.
Co-founded Real Skateboard Company.
Former pro-skater and was on Powell-Peralta's legendary Bones Brigade
team along with Steve Cabellero, Tony Hawk, Mike McGill, and Lance
Mountain.
Quit skating for Powell Peralta in 1990 and then teamed up with Jim
Theibud to form Real Skateboards.
He won the first street-style skating contest in 1983. In 1984, he was
signed to be on the Bones Brigade team and with it, he became the first
pro Street Skater.
Was the bassist in he and his brother's band, 'Free Beer.'
His mother worked as a secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services.
Inspired to skateboard when his brother, Tony, started skating in 1975.
He was nine years old when he auditioned for a local skate team. His
brother, Tony, was selected for the team.
Attended MacAteer High School.
Is an executive at Deluxe, a skateboard company which he partly
owns.
Frequently plays in San Fransisco with his band, Jet Black
Crayon.
