Ted Grouya(1910-2000)

Songwriter ("Flamingo"), composer and author, educated at the
Conservatory of Bucharest, Sorbonne, and the Ecole Normale de Musique,
and a student of Alfred Corot, Dandelot, and Nadia Boulanger. He taught
piano studies at the Bucharest Conservatory, and was a member of a
public relations firm. Joining ASCAP in 1943, his chief musical
collaborators included Jimmy Dorsey, Edmund Anderson, Jimmy Eaton,
Louis Forbes, Kermit Goell, Edward Heyman, and Frank Loesser. His other
popular-song compositions include "I Heard You Cried Last Night", "I'm
Misunderstood", "Since You Went Away", "Fascination", "In My Arms",
"Two Again", "I Hear It From Everyone But You", and "When Am I Gonna
Kiss You Good Morning?".
