Yale Entertainment has announced that production has wrapped on their “horror thriller with comedic elements” All You Need Is Blood, which stars Mena Suvari (American Beauty), Logan Riley Bruner (Stranger Things), and Eddie Griffin (Undercover Brother). This film marks the feature directorial debut of Cooper Roberts, the Grammy-nominated director of The Dead Weather’s “I Feel Love” music video.

Sounds like a good time to me! The concept of a meteor leading to a zombie outbreak is reminiscent of the 1986 horror comedy classic Night of the Creeps… and we definitely need more movies like Night of the Creeps.

The D.U.N.C.E. agents have gotten a whole lot younger since 1995. On Saturday, Mariah Carey re-created the classic opening scene of her "Honey" music video on TikTok - with a little help from a certain resident of Hawkins, In. In the video, which the Grammy winner also posted on her Instagram, "Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown joins in the fun as the D.U.N.C.E. agent who has no idea Carey's Agent M is making fun of their hair.
"I got two choices for ya: the easy way or the hard way," Brown lip-syncs to the audio from the original video. Meanwhile, Carey's Agent M pretends not to understand her kidnappers, which, in this instance, also include the "Enola Holmes" actor's boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi, and Carey's own kids, 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.

If there's one thing Guy Torry, DeRay Davis, and Kym Whitley have in common, it's their passion for comedy. Phat Tuesdays founder Torry brought together the greatest in their craft at The Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard as a chain reaction to the 1992 LA riots. The legacy continues in the new Amazon Prime Video series "Phat Tuesdays." Torry, Davis, and Whitley tell Popsugar about everything from the magic of Black audiences to their memories of the late comedian Bob Saget. We also asked them their least-favorite question: who are your favorite comics, from the giants of the '90s to up-and-comers?
"This is the question I hate the most because it's too many," Torry explains. DeRay and Whitley explain that many Black comics don't get the exposure they deserve. "It's so frustrating," Whitley says, specifically referencing Black women not given opportunities.

Seth Rogen’s recently published, candid collection of essays “Yearbook” is filled with stories, harrowing and hilarious, from the frontlines of his days in Hollywood as a comic and actor. One such tale to emerge is an anti-Semitic tirade he and actor Jonah Hill experienced in an elevator in Las Vegas, where they ran into comedian Eddie Griffin. (Via Uproxx.)
“I’m glad I saw you guys,” Eddie Griffin said, according to Hill in a chapter of “Yearbook,” when bumping into Rogen and Hill. “I saw your movie. The high school movie,” Griffin said.
“I’ve been trying to make a movie for a while now, but no one will make it. But they made yours. And you know why?” Griffin asked
“No, why?” Rogen asked.
“Because I’m Black, and you’re Jewish, motherf***ers,” Griffin told Rogen, according to the book.

Alec Baldwin and 11 Other Actors Who’ve Played Donald Trump on Screen (Photos)
Phil Hartman, “Saturday Night Live” (1988-1990)
Long before Alec Baldwin donned a blond wig, the late Phil Hartman played Donald Trump in a series of sketches. The first mocked Donald and Ivana Trump (Jan Hooks) as out-of-touch rich people at Christmas-time, while later skits depicted the couple’s tabloid divorce.
Darrell Hammond, “Saturday Night Live” (1999-2011)
Before Baldwin, Hammond was the go-to impersonator of Trump, starting with two sketches in 1989 and then off and on in multiple sketches over the next decade. He even returned to don a too-long red tie when Trump was guest host in 2015.
Louis Ferreira, “Trump Unauthorized” (2005)
The Portugese-born actor — best known for his work on TV series like “Stargate Universe,” “Breaking Bad” and “S.W.A.T.” — starred as the real estate mogul-turned reality star in a 2005 ABC movie.

The term “Woke” has become so often used in pop culture that it may as well now be parody. But it remains functional, describing an awareness of the social issues that are important to the lives of the marginalized. Any television series can work in a Maga hat joke, or a jocular reference to President Donald J. Trump’s orange tan. But it takes a truly exceptional show to actually present and analyze relevant subject matter while also telling a compelling and entertaining story. But despite its title, Hulu’s new comedy-drama series “Woke” doesn’t entirely satisfy on either count.
Former “New Girl” star Lamorne Morris returns to television in the semi-animated series, which is inspired by the life and work of artist Keith Knight, known for his humorous cartoon handlings of political, social, and racial issues. The wannabe hip San Francisco Bay area-set series tackles conventional definitions of...

Robert De Niro, who was nominated this year for an Academy Award for producing “The Irishman,” plays against type as a completely incompetent producer in the first trailer for the showbiz comedy “The Comeback Trail.”
To get the mob off his back, De Niro’s disheveled producer decides to make a Western starring the washed-up Duke Montana (played by Tommy Lee Jones) in order to “accidentally” kill him during a stunt in order to collect on the life insurance policy. The problem is that Duke is apparently immortal. He survives a daily game of Russian Roulette, a fall into a massive canyon and being engulfed in flames.
Morgan Freeman stars as the mobster, who appears at the start of the trailer threatening to kill De Niro’s Max Barber and accuses him of lying about paying his debt.

In January, not long after the merger of Viacom and CBS closed, CBS chief creative officer and Showtime Networks chief exec David Nevins asked BET Networks president Scott Mills to share some of the pipeline projects that Mills was most excited about.
One of those series was Lena Waithe’s “Twenties,” which at that point hadn’t yet premiered on BET, the cabler that joined the combined company from the Viacom side. With Waithe’s “The Chi” already popular on Showtime, Nevins asked Mills for a programming window on Showtime for “Twenties.” In turn, Mills asked Nevins for a BET window for “The Chi.”
Showtime and BET’s shared popularity with African American viewers, said Mills, is the reason BET was incorporated into the Showtime premium networks group after the merger. And the “logical progression” of that common audience between Viacom and CBS’ respective cablers is SHOxBET, the Showtime plex channel that launched Wednesday,...

To save himself and Walter, Barber has to sell the only great script he’s ever had to his former intern and, now, A-Movie producer, James Moore (Emile Hirsch). Some folks might think a little bit of Eddie Griffin goes a long way but honestly the guy is pretty funny and simply taking a little of him just isn’t enough. He’s been slightly controversial over the years and has said things that might have rubbed people the wrong way, but his comedy has usually been pretty solid. A lot of times he tends to play characters that are based on little more than attitude and a quick it, using his sarcastic and often smarmy remarks to deliver punchlines and entertain the viewers with a brand of comedy that’s not

Cedric the Entertainer is a man who wears many hats, both literally and figuratively.
Born Cedric Antonio Kyles, he launched his career in standup comedy more than 30 years ago, while still working a day job as a claims adjuster at State Farm Insurance in St. Louis. Since then he’s parlayed his brand of straightforward, crowd-pleasing comedy into such successes as the record-breaking “Kings of Comedy Tour,” acting in films including “Barbershop” and such shows as TV Land’s “The Soul Man” and TBS hit “The Last O.G.” Along the way, he’s proven he can tackle hosting (“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”), Broadway (“American Buffalo”) and voice work (“Disney’s Planes” and the “Madagascar” series). He’ll be recognized for his achievements with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the live theater/live performance category at a ceremony on July 19.
And then there are the actual hats.

He’ll be recognized for his achievements with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the live theater/live performance category at a ceremony on July 19.
And then there are the actual hats.

David Steinberg, executive producer of “Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind” and longtime manager to Williams, watched the legendary comedian perform countless shows over the years. But one memory that sticks out occurred while his client was on a United Service Organizations tour, where Williams performed standup for hundreds of wounded servicemen and women before personally greeting each of them.
“Someone who could do that can certainly mask some of what’s going on inside of him,” Steinberg told Variety.
On the red carpet for Wednesday’s premiere of HBO’s Williams documentary at the Tcl Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, filmmakers, actors and comedians shared their on-screen and off-screen memories of Williams, who died by suicide in 2014.
Though nearly four years have passed since Williams’ death, mental health has been a widely discussed topic in recent weeks following the suicides of fashion designer Kate Spade and cooking personality Anthony Bourdain.

Carrey writes, “The great Mitzi Shore, owner of the famous Comedy Store, has passed away. No words can express the gratitude I have for her. We met in 1979. She opened the door to my dreams! If she loved you, you did well. If she didn’t, you did something else. I will love her forever. ;^)”
