No need to guess about the future of Crime Scene Kitchen — Fox’s reality cooking competition has been renewed for Season 3, TVLine has learned.
For those unfamiliar with Crime Scene Kitchen, Fox describes it as a “culinary guessing game,” one in which “bakers must decode and decipher what type of dessert was made with only crumbs, food trails and humorous hints as clues.” From there, “teams must recreate the tasty treat, attempting to best capture its original form and flavor in order to win a $100,000 grand prize.”

The producers of “Dancing With the Stars” are responding to the controversial casting of Sean Spicer (Season 28) and Adrian Peterson (Season 32), among others.
“We’re a silly ballroom dance show, we’re teaching people how to cha cha. The country is divided, so half of the people may have one political view and the other half have the other. At the core of it, we always just go for nice, good people,” executive producer Deena Katz told Variety following ABC’s unscripted panel at the Television Critics Association press tour on Saturday.
Katz added that former White House press secretary Spicer became friends with many members of the cast during his time on the show. However, there was a great deal of controversy amid his casting, with former host Tom Bergeron among those expressing disappointment over how the show was being politicized.

“Dancing with the Stars” Season 32 is back and it’s a bit different Season 31 — including having a new (old) home. Here’s everything to know about the season.
Where is “Dancing with the Stars” Season 32 airing?
ABC and Disney+. That’s right. After one season exclusively on Disney+, “Dancing” returned to ABC for Season 32, which will also stream live on Disney+. It is the first series to be simulcast on ABC and Disney+. Episodes will also be available the next day on Hulu.
“I’m very happy we’re back on ABC,” Derek Hough told TV Insider in June. “I think it was fantastic that we moved to Disney+ for a season. It did great, but I think that there’s definitely [still] an audience on ABC, a very loyal audience that may have missed out on last season. It’s groundbreaking in that I’ll be on both platforms as the same time.

As previously reported, Goodman died at 78 on April 22, 2023.
The U.K.'s Daily Express has now revealed he died from prostate cancer, which spread to his bones.
The publication took the information from his death certificate.
"I can confirm he died peacefully over the weekend surrounded by his family," the star's representative shared of his death earlier this year.
The statement added that he was "a much loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him."
Goodman had the rare distinction of appearing in two iterations of DWTS, having also served as a judge on the Strictly Come Dancing in the U.K.
He had announced his intention to exit the U.S. version in November 2022.

Dancing with the Stars is preparing to honor the late judge Len Goodman in its 32nd season which host Alfonso Ribeiro teased ahead of the premiere on September 26. Speaking to reporters in New York City following the casting announcement on Good Morning America, Ribeiro said, “I can guarantee you that every one of those pros will be making sure that the routines are still designed for Len.” He added that the pros will “be putting in specific steps that Len used to love,” for the upcoming dance routines. (Credit: ABC/Art Streiber) While Ribeiro couldn’t say much about the tribute details for Goodman, he shared, “I do know that they’re looking at doing something… to honor him.” Some more news about the upcoming tribute to Goodman this season was unveiled by executive producer Conrad Green in an interview with USA Today. For most people, the placement of a garbage can is an aesthetic decision, but for the producers of “Crime Scene Kitchen,” it’s a crucial piece of strategy.
That’s because this competition series, hosted by Joel McHale and now in its second season on Fox, is equal parts mystery and bake-off. In each episode, teams of bakers decide what to cook by exploring a recently used kitchen, looking for clues about whatever dish was made before they arrived. With nothing but those (frequently literal) bread crumbs to guide them, they head into their own kitchens and try to recreate the mystery item. The team that’s furthest from the original dish goes home.
The drama frequently springs from the bakers’ detective skills: It can be deliciously excruciating to watch a team make a perfect key lime pie only to discover they were supposed to make something called a “boardwalk pie” instead.

As it enters its 32nd season, Dancing with the Stars is facing its most significant overhaul yet. Viewers will see all the shake-ups when the series returns to Disney+. Banks faced mixed reactions from fans of the series during her first year as the series’ host. Many viewers had difficulty warming up to the former supermodel.

After Len Goodman‘s retirement on “Dancing with the Stars” in November, every fan has been wondering who will replace him at the judges’ table in Season 32. Shirley Ballas, who succeeded Goodman as head judge on Britain’s “Strictly Come Dancing” in 2017, has been speculated as one of his replacements, but the ballroom dancer says it’s looking like it’ll no one will take his seat.
“I spoke to [executive producer and showrunner] Conrad Green. I think at the moment they’re gonna keep it to three judges,” Ballas recently said on the British talk show “Loose Women.” (watch below).
This jibes with “Entertainment Tonight’s” report after the Season 31 finale in November that cited a source claiming that the show will “likely to go back to a three-judge format.” “Dancing” started out with three judges in 2005 — head judge Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli — and grew to four with Julianne Hough in Seasons 19, 20, 23 and 24. It’s semi-finals night on Dancing With The Stars! We have to wonder how many people have been watching along with us during the 31st season. Disney+ has yet to release any viewership numbers for the former ABC show, which isn’t an encouraging sign. And that’s too bad: DWTS under Executive Producer Conrad Green has once again found its glory, from inspirational participants like Selma Blair and Daniel Durant, to the refreshing way it has put the spotlight back on ballroom dancing.
Case in point: throughout the season, the judges have given us “master classes” on how to perform a perfect genre of ballroom dance. Monday, for example, featured Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach executing a flawless Viennese waltz while Derek Hough and Len Goodman provided insightful commentary. So that’s why we love this show so much! Thanks for the much-needed reminder, Mr. Green.

Conrad Green, it’s so good to have you back as executive producer on Dancing with the Stars! First we get Derek Hough running around like a spy and rappelling down to the ballroom before Peta Murgatroyd helped to kick off a fiery opening number to “Live and Let Die.” Just like old times when DWTS was in its glory years on ABC.
Let’s get on with Bond night, James Bond night on Disney+.
Cheryl Ladd and Louis Van Amstel. The veteran actress thought she was a goner last week, but Goodman — bless his heart — saved her for another day. So she dug up an old photo of her and Sean Connery for inspiration so she can be “the Bond girl I never got to be” while performing a rumba. Elegant! “That was your best dance,” said judge Hough, who was particularly impressed with the graceful way she held her arms.

Dancing with the Stars began its 31st season Monday in the most peculiar manner: by asking viewers to click a watch button on Disney+ at exactly 5 p.m./8 p.m. “Tune” in any earlier and you’ll get a reminder — No, it’s at 8 p.m. Et, pal! Come back when it’s time. This is the new reality for dance fans accustomed to watching their favorite competition show that used to be on ABC.

In some regards, Dancing With the Stars is changing quite a bit this season with its move from ABC to streaming service Disney+. However, Derek Hough, a six-time mirror ball champion and who is now a judge on the dance competition reality series, says that the show is going to basics. Not only are Mark Ballas and Louis van Amstel back as pros but Conrad Green, who helmed DWTS from 2005 to 2013, is back as the show’s executive producer. Hough says viewers can count on the show digging back into the heart of the program which made the show a hit – the emotional journeys upon which the stars and the pro dancers embark. Hough also speculates on the possibility of his return to the ballroom floor as a dance pro given that the show moving to Disney+ potentially will open up some creative pathways. As “Dancing With the Stars” moves from ABC to Disney+ on Monday, viewers will notice several major changes to the competition series as it makes a historic switch to streaming for Season 31 — most notably, there will be a lot more show than they’re used to.
That’s because Disney+ is commercial-free, which means producers have to fill all two hours without any time-outs.

Green is returning to the series after launching the show on ABC in 2005. After exiting in 2014, he said it felt only right to come back to the show when it’s going through another landmark transition. And for Green, the key to success will be “pushing the boundaries” to create a show that’s even more spectacular than it was on broadcast television, he added.
In a new interview with TheWrap, Green laid out just how he’ll do just that, including breaking out of the confines of the two-hour time window, as well as bringing back some fan favorites like...

“Dancing with the Stars” Season 31 will premiere on Monday, Sept. 19, Disney+ announced Wednesday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
As previously announced, “Dancing” is moving from its original home of ABC after 16 years and 30 seasons to the streaming service. It will be Disney+’s first live series. No premiere time was disclosed, but the show aired at 8/7c on ABC. “Dancing” typically launched fall seasons in mid-September and aired on Mondays, so this is familiar territory for longtime fans. The only difference is where they can watch now.
The cast will be announced at a later date (usually late August on “Good Morning America”). Last month, former champ Alfonso Ribeiro joined as co-host alongside Tyra Banks, who is returning for her third season. Judges Len Goodman, Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli will all be back as well. Among the changes behind the scenes: Conrad Green,...

Get your ballroom shoes ready: “Dancing With the Stars” will be back with Season 31 on Sept. 19, premiering at its new Disney+ home. The upcoming installment will be hosted by Tyra Banks, with co-host and former mirrorball champ Alfonso Ribeiro.
The veteran competition series has notably seen several changes in recent years, dating back to 2014 when original showrunner Conrad Green departed. In 2018, he was replaced by Andrew Llinares, who made sweeping changes to the show, including ousting original hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews in 2020. Their roles were taken over by Banks, who had formerly hosted “America’s Next Top Model.” At the time, ABC said in a statement that the series would embark on a “new creative direction.”

Val Chmerkovskiy may not be hanging up his “Dancing with the Stars” shoes yet. Though the two-time champ said in the fall that Season 30 was “probably” his last one, you might just see him when Season 31 launches on Disney+ later this year, according to his wife and fellow pro Jenna Johnson.
“So, the funny thing is we actually don’t know if we’re coming back until right before the season [starts]. But yes, I know that Val is definitely excited to come back for another season and I think that he’s in the best shape of his life right now. I’m not sure what happened to him [this year], but he is snatched,” Johnson told Us Weekly. “I think he’s really excited for this next season.”
Chmerkovskiy, who won Mirrorball trophies with Rumer Willis and Laurie Hernandez, hinted at his departure following his and partner Olivia Jade‘s elimination in November.

Fox has ordered a second season of Crime Scene Kitchen, a baking competition series hosted by Joel McHale.
The show is a culinary guessing game in which bakers must decode what type of dessert was made, when all that’s left are the crumbs, flour trails and a few clues. They must then recreate the recipe for the judges, who will determine how closely it matches the missing dessert.
The show featured Chef Curtis Stone and cake artist Yolanda Gampp as judges.
“Crime Scene Kitchen is unlike any cooking show out there,” said Fox’s Head of Reality Rob Wade before the show’s debut last May. “It’s a truly original format with amazing baking creations, a brilliant play-along guessing game for the whole family, and Joel at the center of it all bringing hilarity at every turn. Just don’t watch it if you’re feeling hungry!”

The final four teams will battle for the best-baking-detective trophy on Wednesday’s Season 1 finale of “Crime Scene Kitchen,” but first they’ll have to survive the dessert round.
In a new exclusive clip from the episode, airing Wednesday at 9/8c on Fox, the bakers reveal the brutal new twist — one team will be eliminated after the first challenge of the night. After besting eight other teams throughout the baking competition’s first season, the four sets of finalists will have to impress the judges with their chocolate napoleons if they want a shot at the final challenge and the $100,000 prize.
Of course, this being “Crime Scene Kitchen,” there is no guarantee that the dessert-round assignment actually was chocolate napoleons, but all four teams — including Lorie and Jason, Emma and Leslie, Thomas and Cathy and Luis and Natalie — appear to have gone in the same direction based on the clues they picked up.

“The Masked Singer’s” Ken Jeong is the guest judge on this week’s “Crime Scene Kitchen,” and judging by TheWrap’s new exclusive clip from the Wednesday episode, he’ll be stealing some attention from his former “Community” co-star Joel McHale.
Erinn, in particular, seems especially distracted by “Masked Singer” judge Jeong’s presence, much to the dismay of McHale and her teammate Amanda. “If anything goes wrong, I’m blaming her,” Amanda warns as Erinn and Jeong hug it out.
Hey, after Joel’s many visits over to Ken’s “Masked Singer” home over the past few years, it’s only fair that Ken gets a chance to step over onto Joel’s sweet new gig on an equally mysterious (but so much more delicious) Fox competition, right? Right!
Of course, we don’t know if Joel was anticipating just how much of his thunder Ken would be stealing when he stopped by.

The team behind Fox’s Ultimate Tag hope that NFL stars JJ Watt and his brothers Tj and Derek fronting a physical competition format will sate viewers missing out on live sports.
It’s certainly a bit louder than live marble racing.
The show, which is based on the playground game of chase or tag, essentially sees regular folk competing against a group of professional taggers, some are parkour experts, to vault, dodge, tumble and dive across a massive course to avoid getting caught. The show launches tonight, Wednesday May 20.
Natalka Znak, who runs the U.S./UK based production company Znak & Co and exec produces the show, alongside JJ Watt and Conrad Green, tells Deadline, “The timing has actually worked out well for us because we’ve got a sporty type show with three footballers hosting it, which is what everyone wants right now because there’s no sports.
