- Amiable, brunette German leading lady of the 1920's and early 30's, born in Poland. Trained as a ballerina, she first performed in musical revues on stage in Berlin. In silent films, she either danced or played ingénues. Gralla was forced to give up acting after being afflicted with tuberculosis in 1933. She found alternative employment variously as a stenographer, cleaning woman and waitress.
