Before Matt and Ross Duffer were known for their critically-acclaimed Netflix series “Stranger Things,” the sibling duo wrote and directed a short film in 2007 titled “Eater.”
The project, which has been making its rounds online, is based on the Peter Crowther short story of the same name and shares a chilling, suspenseful feeling similar to their latest show. “Eater” stars Emanuel Borria, Douglas Bennett and Nick Gillie and tells the story of a rookie cop that works the night shift at a police station with a cannibal prisoner on the loose.

The 18-minute dark film was produced by Sam Winkler and starts out with the officer in the locker room of the police station talking on the phone when suddenly someone comes and attacks him.
