After 1992's Army Of Darkness, another Sam Raimi feature film wouldn't emerge in theatres for another three years. What Raimi did with the time in between is anybody's guess - perhaps he wandered the world; maybe he dug through a peculiar collection of Spider-Man comics with most of the dialogue cut out. But what he certainly did with his Renaissance Pictures partners was bring to light a new frontier of genre TV (cue heroic music and a narrator saying, "This is the story of a time long ago – a time of myth and legend. When the ancient gods were petty and cruel, and they plagued mankind with suffering, only one man dared to challenge their power...")

Nan Martin was a leading character actress on stage, screen and television for over fifty years. She may be best remembered by horror fans for her role as Amanda Krueger (aka Sister Mary Helena), the mother of supernatural serial killer Freddy Krueger, in 1987’s A Nightmare in Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, with Robert Englund as Freddy.
Martin was born in Decatur, Illinois, on July 15, 1927, and was raised in Santa Monica, California. She began performing on stage while attending UCLA, and worked as a fashion model in the late 1940s. She subsequently moved to New York, where she made her Broadway debut in 1950. She appeared in several other Broadway productions, and continued to perform on stage throughout her career.
She also appeared frequently on television from the mid-1950s, with roles in such series as The Twilight Zone as Laura Ford in the 1963 episode “The Incredible World of Horace Ford”, The Invaders,...

Nan Martin, the stage, film, and television actor, passed away the morning of March 4 due to complications from emphysema, according to a family friend. She was 82. Born in Decatur, Ill., and raised in Santa Monica, Calif., she became a first-year member of the Actors Studio following her move to New York City.One of Martin's first onstage successes was as Sarah in Archibald MacLeish's "J.B.," a role for which she was nominated for a Tony Award in 1960. Her co-stars were Pat Hingle, Christopher Plummer, and Raymond Massey. She appeared in many Joseph Papp–directed Shakespeare productions, including a turn as Portia in "The Merchant of Venice" opposite George C. Scott as Shylock, and also frequented the London stage, where she performed in "The Three Sisters" with Scott, Sandy Dennis, and Kim Stanley.Television audiences may remember Martin best from her recurring role as Mrs. Louder on "The Drew Carey Show.

Revolution Studios has jumped to Mr. Id, picking up the script from writing team Chris Pappas and Mike Bernier for mid-six figures. Id centers on a bachelor who meets the woman of his dreams only to see his male libido come to life and fight to keep him single. Zen Gesner and Rob Moran will produce, with Kris Meyer executive producing. Revolution Studios' Todd Garner brought the project in and will oversee along with Scott Bernstein. Pappas and Bernier, friends since their childhood days growing up outside of Boston, are repped by New York-based Nick Yellen, manager Darryl Taja at Catch 23 Entertainment and attorneys Peter Grossman at Lichter, Nichols, Grossman, Adler and Goodman and Cindy Gesner.
