Towards the end of last week we revealed the new poster for new found footage creature feature 'Area 407' (previously known as 'Tape 407'). The Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin helmed horror flick unleashed a very familiar looking poster which has got to have been heavily influenced by George A Romero's 'Diary of the Dead' one-sheet. Thankfully however this new poster is a tad more original although it does sort of scream 'Jurassic Park III' to me. Abigail Schrader, James Lyons, Melanie Lyons, Samantha Lester, Ken Garcia, Samantha Sloyan, Brendan Patrick Connor, Everette Wallin and Jude Gerard Prest all star. Check out the new poster below and catch it in select theatres and on VOD in the Us this Friday!...

An airplane crashes on a seemingly deserted island filled with danger, intrigue, and mystery. Now there’s an idea that’s never been done before! Below you’ll find two new posters for Dale Fabrigar’s “Area 407″, a film that was once known around these parts as “Tape 407″. The latest trailer for the flick only arrived yesterday (March 20th), so it’s not overly surprisingly that this part of promotional pieces have shown up to help keep the ol’ Internet buzz machine chugging right along. And while I’m always quick to poke fun at the film’s premise, I don’t think it looks all that bad. Honestly! Don’t believe me? Have a look at the trailer for yourself. Wiseguy. “Area 407″ stars Abigail Schrader, Samantha Lester, James Lyons, Melanie Lyons, Brendan Patrick Connor, Ken Garcia, Samantha Sloyan, Everette Wallin, and Jude Gerard Pres. IFC Midnight...

Found footage creature feature 'Area 407' (previously known as 'Tape 407') is due for release across the Us later this month in select theatres as well as on various VOD and digital outlets. Dread Central in the meantime have just unveiled a new exclusive one-sheet over on their site which you can check out below. The new poster is achingly similar to that of George A Romero's less than satisfying found footage zombie sequel 'Diary of the Dead' from back in 2007. Abigail Schrader, James Lyons, Melanie Lyons, Samantha Lester, Ken Garcia, Samantha Sloyan, Brendan Patrick Connor, Everette Wallin and Jude Gerard Prest all star in 'Area 407' and you can check out the new poster as well as a cheeky look at the fore-mentioned 'Diary of the Dead' poster. Can you spot the differences?...

Nearly every year, an exorcist/possession inspired film is guaranteed. Some productions are loosely based on actual cases of demonic possession and others are fiction.
Set in the 70's, Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes (also known as Paranormal Entity 3) is a very period-looking piece about priests from different faiths attempting to exorcise the devil out of a young girl. Tape 407, along the lines of The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield, and Apollo 18 is a horror faux documentary featuring "lost footage" — described in the film's press release as "too real for reality and too disturbing for fiction." Tape 407 opens with a group of people, including one pesky teenager with a camera, flying from New York to Los Angeles on New Year's Eve. Things go wrong when their plane hits extreme turbulence mid-flight, which leads to wild panic among the passengers until the plane crashes in a remote area. The bloody and disoriented survivors then discover they're not alone in the darkness. Unknown predators relentlessly start pursuing them. Unbeknownst to the victims, their planed crashed in a Us government-testing area, and those predators belong to the government's top-secret Mesa Experiment. Tape 407 was directed by Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin, from a screenplay by Fabrigar, Wallin, and Robert Shepyer.

We here at Fangirltastic happen to love The Asylum. We love them for not giving a fuck about making really horrible movies and shamelessly ripping off Hollywood Blockbusters. As bad as something like 2010: Moby Dick or Titanic II is, these movies still provide you with a touch of humor that is difficult to find anywhere else. It’s the joyous feeling of ridiculous. That feel good moment that The Asylum encounters when they say, “yeah why not make a giant CGI sperm whale and make it look about as good as a large floating rock?” And they’re right, why not?
The latest Asylum product however has me shaking my head in disappointment. Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes is for lack of a better word, boring. It’s excruciatingly boring in fact and provides about 3 seconds...

The tragic story of the late 1970's exorcism of a young German girl named Anneliese Michel was the basis of the 2005 horror film The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Previously only a few photographs and audio tapes of Anneliese's exorcisms existed. Now, out of the blue, word comes that alleged footage of the Anneliese exorcisms is coming to DVD on March 1st.
Anneliese: The Exorcist Tapes will be released on March 1st. The company releasing the DVD: The Asylum. Yep, the same company that mockbusted The Exorcism of Emily Rose with its own Exorcism: The Possession of Gail Bowers now claims to have possession of actual recorded footage of the incident that inspired both films. Here's the statement from The Asylum's website that just went up this weekend announcing the release of the DVD just barely two weeks from now:
