- Andy Friendly is an Emmy-nominated producer, writer, director, and programming executive who has worked with television legends Tom Snyder, Tim Russert, Richard Pryor, Whoopi Goldberg, Dan Rather, and dozens more. His latest production, "Liberation Heroes: The Last Eyewitnesses", aired on Discovery in May 2019.
Andy is currently on the Board of Councilors of The USC Shoah Foundation and is a past President and current board member of The Saban Community Clinic and the Hollywood Radio & Television Society. He has taught as an adjunct professor at his alma mater, the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

- In December 2005, Andy and his wife Pat Crowley were passengers on a Los Angeles-to-Honolulu flight in which a 37-year old male passenger began acting erratically and threatening other passengers during the flight. He had to be restrained with plastic handcuffs. Andy was one of the passengers who helped restrain the man.
