Flavio Frederico (“Urbânia”) is directing Brazilian bank robbery movie “São Paulo Heist” (“Assalto Na Paulista”) about a notorious crime that went down in 2010.

Leão plays Rubens in the movie, a notorious criminal who decides to pull off one last heist with his adopted daughter Leônia (Bin) and his gang. ★★★☆☆ The lavishly produced and stylish crime thriller Boca (2012) - directed by Brazilian filmmaker Flavio Frederico and based on the autobiography of Hiroito, 'The King of Boca do Lixo' - makes for enjoyable viewing. Set amidst the brothels and nightclubs of 1950's São Paulo, Hiroito (Daniel de Oliveira) rises to become one the region's most notorious crime lords, trading in women, drugs and guns. After the death of his father - a crime Hiroito was arrested for but never charged - the self-styled kingpin begins to establish his empire, but soon comes unstuck to drugs and women.

Universal Home Entertainment have sent us the first trailer for their new release, Boca which won the Best Cinematography and Best Editing awards at the Festival do Rio 2010. It stars Daniel de Oliveira, Hermila Guedes, Jefferson Brasil and is Directed by Flavio Frederico and is released in the UK on DVD and Blu-ray February 13th. The film is set in Sao Paulo in the 50’s and 60’s and based on the autobiography of Hiroito Joanides de Moraes.
