Busted’s Charlie Simpson has been crowned the winner of The Masked Singer.
The singer, 37, who rose to fame with the pop punk band which produced hits including Year 3000 and Crashed The Wedding, performed in disguise as Rhino throughout the ITV series.
Simpson performed three times across Saturday’s finale show and beat Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson, who was disguised as Phoenix, and All Saints star Natalie Appleton, who was hiding behind the Fawn mask.
The Busted star admitted he did not expect to win the show and just tried to “remember the lyrics and have fun”.
Asked how he found the experience, he said: “I was terrified the entire time because the thing I was scared most of was remembering lyrics. I often forget lyrics to my own songs.”

Adam Hills has apologised after a World Cup parody song featured on The Last Leg sparked a backlash among viewers.
The sports comedy show caused upset when they shared their “anthem” for the football tournament on social media, after England beat Iran 6-2 on Monday (21 November).
Performed to the tune of “Three Lions”, the joke song referenced some of the controversies attached to this year’s event and its host country, such as the mistreatment of migrant workers and Qatar’s criminalisation of homosexuality.
Viewers complained about one set of lyrics in particular, which make reference to LGBTQ+ people facing violence: “But in Qatar if Alan Carr toured/ And was joined by Boy George/ And then even RuPaul/ They could end up/ Three heads on a spike.”
Many people took issue with the references to violence. “Using the imagery of dead queer people when we are murdered every day and...

Leigh Francis has said that Craig David needs to “move on” from their Bo Selecta row.
The TV personality – who uses the comedy name Keith Lemon – has been criticised in the past for the stunt in which he wore a rubber mask with exaggerated features intended to resemble the “7 Days” singer.
Francis impersonated a number of different celebrities on Bo Selecta, which ran on Channel 4 from 2002 to 2009.
David was one of those celebrities, and recently opened up about how the show affected him, calling it “bullying” and “racist”.
“He was highlighting characteristics he felt would trigger us personally,” David told The Times, saying “Every sketch felt personal.”
“It felt like a vendetta and when it got a following, it became something that affected me. People would shout at me on the street and I felt the same feeling I had when I was bullied at school. Leigh Francis had...

The singer is starring alongside Jude Law’s son in a modern-day remake of Oliver Twist. How did they find working with a film legend – and what did he think of working with them?
“The thing everyone knows about me,” says Rita Ora on a bitterly cold afternoon in November 2019, “is that I’m a bit Ocd about fashion.” Fourteen months later, of course, this will not be the first thing that springs to mind when people hear her name, if it ever was. The one fact everyone now knows about Ora is that she twice breached England’s Covid-19 regulations, first by failing to self-isolate after a trip to Cairo, where she had performed a private concert in November 2020, and then by throwing a party for 30 friends, immediately upon her return, in a London members’ club, in defiance of the six-person limit for indoor gatherings.

[[tmz:video id="0_7kzj1bsr"]] Spencer Pratt went on the attack Tuesday night, putting a famous British comedian in what looks like a vicious head lock. Spencer was goofing, we assume, just outside the Ivy in the bougie part of L.A. where Keith Lemon was begging for mercy. It's a little weird ... 2 grown dudes rolling around in the grass, clearly for the cameras. Soon-to-be-father Spencer -- courtesy of Heidi -- sure looks like he's applying pressure. And, Spencer's death stares are definitely WWE worthy.

The first time I ever met Paul Davis was at a HorrorHound convention back in 2007. He was there presenting some footage from his amazing documentary, Beware The Moon, a celebration of all things An American Werewolf in London. His passion and enthusiasm for John Landis’ film, as well as for the horror genre as a whole, immediately struck me, and I’ve been following his career in the realms of filmmaking and writing ever since.
His latest literary endeavor, Lost in the Shadows: The Story of The Lost Boys, is currently available for pre-order Here, and arrives just in time for the 30th anniversary of Joel Schumacher’s landmark horror comedy. Daily Dead recently caught up with Davis to hear more about how Lost in the Shadows came together, his progression from werewolves to vampires, his experiences catching up with the cast and crew of The Lost Boys, and more.

As Keith Lemon and Paddy McGuinness announce their own TV show of movie spoofs, we celebrate the work of Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.
The news today that Keith Lemon and Paddy McGuinness are joining forces for a new primetime ITV series of movie spoofs has, well, not been particularly well received (we're sticking vehemently to our rule of not judging something until we've seen it. Even on a project like, say, this one). Their new show, The Keith And Paddy Picture Show, will arrive on Saturday nights at some point in 2017. But the pair will have a high bar to aim for.

The programme, which goes by the name of The Keith And Paddy Picture Show, will run for five half hour episodes, and it’s billed as “an affectionate and humorous tribute to some of Keith and Paddy's favourite movies of all time”. Danny Dyer is an actor, a TV presenter, a football chairman, and a right propa nawty geezer of the very highest order.
One thing he is definitely not though is a comedian. But despite this, he remains one the UK’s foremost comedy geniuses working today, with a string of legendary yet accidental comic performances behind him.
His brand of humour is not observational like Ricky Gervais, caustic like Stewart Lee or blue like Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown.
Rather it’s that subtle, deep-seated, fully fleshed-out type of character comedy that the likes of Keith Lemon and Tim Westwood have been doing for years. In fact, in Danny Dyer’s case, it’s so deep-seated that he himself might not be aware it’s happening.
It’s exactly his ability to keep such a straight face when faced with ludicrous situations that makes so much of what he does inadvertently hilarious.

Just as D'Acampo's Doc Brown is about to reconnect the leads and send the DeLorean back to the future, he realises that they've got the wrong connector.
Lemon promptly storms off to his trailer in the funny clip, taken from Keith Lemon's Back T'Future Tribute, airing on Wednesday (October 21) at 9pm on ITV2.
Lemon also recently revealed a shot-for-shot remake of the original Back to the Future titles for the programme.

The Osbournes could terrorize the airwaves with a swarm of expletives again one day – but in an entirely new style.
A reboot of The Osbournes at VH1 fell apart this past spring following years of comeback rumours.
While appearing on Celebrity Juice, Kelly Osbourne was asked by host Keith Lemon if The Osbournes could still return someday.
Kelly explained: "We've talked about it and it's something that if we are going to do it again, the way we did it is so different, we did it on MTV and that had never been done before so if we're going to come back, we'd want to do it in a way that has never been done before either."

Release The Hounds host Reggie Yates has revealed that people in television have no idea how ITV2 is allowed to broadcast Release The Hounds.
The terrifying horror game-show - which Yates declared is "bigger and better" this year - sees contestants taking part in various scary games before literally running from a pack of dogs, all in an attempt to win some cash.
"I have people saying to me, 'I don't know how you're getting away with what you're doing', particularly people who work in telly!" Yates told Digital Spy. "They're like, 'How are you getting away with that?' That's definitely the conversation that I'm having on a regular basis."
And Yates admitted that he would never take part in the game himself, saying: "I'd never do it. It's not something I'd ever want to do. I really enjoy the role that I play and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Speaking about signing the blonde beauty up for the second series of 'The Keith Lemon Sketch Show', Keith exclusively told Bang Showbiz: ''Ashley's fantastic. She ticks many boxes and she's very good. When we made the 'Back to the Future' documentary she let me spit in her face four times and she was so cool.'' The...

Ashley Roberts will ''sensitively'' impersonate Caitlyn Jenner in 'The Keith Lemon Sketch Show'. The former Pussycat Dolls singer has been signed up by Keith Lemon to dress up like Caitlyn - previously known as Bruce Jenner before her gender reassignment operation - to spoof her for the second series of the ITV2 show. Keith exclusively told Bang Showbiz: ''I said, 'Are you up for being Bruce Jenner?' Or should I say Caitlyn Jenner, and she laughed and I said, 'Because it's all guys playing women', and I said, 'We've got to tackle the issue of his transgender thing', so as long...

Some lucky guests were the first to be treated to Secret Cinema's massive Star Wars project last night (June 4).
McBusted stars Dougie Poynter, Tom Fletcher and Matt Willis were among those who dressed up as Jedis, bounty hunters and other colourful characters at a secret location in London.
The pop band were all in agreement that they thoroughly enjoyed the immersive cinema event, which includes a showing of The Empire Strikes Back at the end of the night.

Congratulations to Jules O'Dwyer and her loveable border collie Matisse who won Britain's Got Talent last night (May 31). We must admit we came over a tad teary-eyed when Matisse's three-legged collie companion Skippy made his debut in their final act.
Last night's final prompted us to look back at all eight winners from the ITV talent show to see how they faired after their victories.
From Collabro to Pudsey the dog - which acts have had the most success post-bgt? Here's our ranking below:
1. Paul Potts
Paul Potts stunned the judges, audience and viewers of Bgt alike with his breathtaking rendition of 'Nessun Dorma' on the ITV talent show's first run in 2007. His audition became a YouTube sensation and was later confirmed as the fourth most viewed YouTube video in the UK.
Following his transition from Carphone Warehouse salesman to Bgt winner, Potts released his debut album One Chance...

It's here! We can't believe it's come around so quickly, but it's time for the Britain's Got Talent final - and tonight, someone (or some people) will walk away a wee bit richer (and a wee bit nervous about performing for the royal family).

22:01Right, though, that's your lot for this series! Do keep leaving your comments in the box below - let us know if you're happy with the result, if you're disappointed, if you're sad that you have no more Bgt this year... we want to know it all. Thanks for joining us!
21:59Jules thanks everyone who voted for Matisse and all the rest of her dogs. Next stop: the Royal Variety. "I'm going to have to buy a corgi,...

21:28Well, we don't really know what to say about Michael Flatley. It was all very energetic and we do kind of want one of his dancers' sparkly tops, mind. He promises that it really was his last TV performance: "I'm a bit long in the tooth now."

Keith Lemon will return for another series of his Sketch Show on ITV2.
Following the comedy character's successful first series in February, ITV has recommissioned the show for a second run.
The second series will welcome back characters including Big Fat Gypsy Kardashians, David Dickinson, Holly Willoughby and the Urban Fox, while introducing brand new creations.
The first run was ITV2's highest-rated series launch in two years, with a combined audience of just over 1 million viewers.
Lemon said of the show's return: "So chuffed to be doing a second series of me sketch show. It's a nice fing to say you've got a sore throat from laughing at work.
"Hope it's not too warm whilst we're filming, that fox suit can get pretty hot! Feels like ya balls are in a cuppa tea!"
ITV2 is yet to announce whether the second series will air later in 2015 or next year.
