MUNICH -- German production house Bavaria Film GmbH on Thursday said it is restructuring its relationships with more than 30 subsidiaries as of Feb. 1. The parent company will retain the name Bavaria Film GmbH and be headed by managing directors Matthias Esche and Dieter Frank, but it will be transformed into a holding company with a purely administrative brief, the company said in a statement. Bavaria's production activities in Munich, the company's headquarters, will fall under a subsidiary called Bavaria Fernsehproduktion GmbH. Previously, both administration and production took place under the umbrella of Bavaria Film, with other production facilities located elsewhere being subsidiaries.
