- Tall, dark and handsome leading actor of the late silent screen. Entered films with Paramount in 1926, appearing initially under his real name Walter Goss. He survived into the sound era, alternating roles as heroes and villains, probably best remembered as Prince Barin in Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe (1940). He left acting in the 1940's for a new career as a dress designer. He was married from 1946 to Dorothy Dearing, a former Busby Berkeley dancer.
- He enlisted as a private in the U.S. Army in September 1942 during World War II.
- Upon his death, his remains were interred at Angeles Abbey Memorial Park in Compton, Los Angeles, California.
