- Eric Dressler was born on October 27, 1896 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for Compliments of the Season (1930), Search for Tomorrow (1951) and The Edge of Night (1956). He died in August 1978 in Tryon, New York, USA.
- On June 30, 1953, a psychopath sneaked into a New York studio where an episode of the TV series "City Hospital" was being rehearsed. He stabbed a cameraman and threw a glass pitcher at Eric Dressler's head. Suffering from shock, Dressler was taken to a hospital.
- Essentially a stage actor, he performed extensively on Broadway from 1924-1943.
