Has been released from his contract on The Young and the Restless (1973), however he
still continues appear on the show on a recurring basis.
He was the younger brother of Alan Douglas, who was a highly regarded record producer of jazz and rock, including albums by Jimi Hendrix and Duke Ellington. Alan Douglas died, at age 82, in Paris, France on June 7, 2014.
He has two children, daughter Avra Douglas and son Jod Douglas (aka Jodaman Douglas), fathered while he was married to his then-wife, Arlene Martel.
Went to Brandeis University to earn a law degree in economics. Eight months into law school, he gave up the books and started auditioning. However, his lack of training frustrated him, and he eventually moved with his then-wife, Arlene Martel, and their daughter, Avra Douglas, to California.
