The Killers have released the name and artwork for their latest single, "Runaways." The track is the first single from their highly anticipated fifth album, Battle Born, and will be released July 10.
The art consists of a single metal lightning bolt against the backdrop of barren desert, suggesting that the Killers are sticking with the dramatic themes that fans have come to know and love from the Las Vegas rockers.
Battle Born is the first offering from the Killers since 2008’s Day and Age. The band had been on hiatus since January 2010, stating they needed some time off after touring and recording for the better part of six years. Recording for Battle Born reportedly began in May 2011, and it is expected to hit stores sometime this fall, though no definitive release date has been announced.
“Runaway” isn’t the only song title that we’re aware of on Battle Born.

Kid Cudi took to Twitter early Tuesday morning (June 5) to announce the title of his third full-length studio album: indicud. This will be the first taste of Cudi's music since 2011's Wzrd.
"My new album is entitled indicud, it will be my version of The Chronic 2001, some songs i'll produce, others i'll feat &/or play songwriter," he tweeted.
To say that Cudi's professional career has been an exercise in innovation, creativity and controversy would be a serious understatement. In 2011, Cudder announced that Dream On, the record label he launched with producers Patrick "Plain Pat" Reynolds and Emile Haynie, was dissolving. Cudi was moving on to a new vision with his music, and taking his production efforts elsewhere. He told Complex magazine that they are still on good terms.

Lady Gaga apparently wants to go shopping in preparation for her next concert in Bangkok — for a fake Rolex.
At least that's what she told her 24 million Twitter followers upon her arrival in Bangkok on Wednesday (May 30). "I just landed in Bangkok baby! Ready for 50,000 screaming Thai monsters. I wanna get lost in a lady market and buy fake Rolex."
The tweet sparked instantaneous uproar on various social media and web forums, as many local residents felt the comment was insulting, abrasive and generally damaging to the reputation of Thailand. Gaga has yet to apologize for the tweet.

Baz Luhrmann's musical choices for the period clip are surprising -- but also spot-on.

Leonardo DiCaprio in "The Great Gatsby"

The new trailer for Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby" hit the Web on Tuesday night. And while the first look has already generated plenty of excitement, there's more than a bit of curiosity, too, since the clip opens to lavish 1920s New York scenes set to ... Jay-z?
As Jay and Kanye's Watch the Throne track "No Church in the Wild" plays in the background, a Tobey Maguire voiceover explains that "the restlessness approached ... hysteria."
Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Hov? Ok, we're in. In fact, this kind of thing is nothing new for Luhrmann, whose penchant for setting period flicks to modern music has become one of his calling cards. In 1996's "Romeo + Juliet," Romeo (also DiCaprio) toted a pistol to the sound of Radiohead,...
