Both of his children have had roles in the production, which has been running since 1974. - In 2004, the City of Raleigh renamed The Pullen Park Theatre. It is now known as The Ira David Wood III Pullen Park Theatre. Mr. Wood founded Raleigh's internationally acclaimed Theatre In The Park in 1972.
