Ubisoft is developing a new title for the X-box, PS3 and other platforms titled I Am Alive. The terror begins after a 10.3 earthquake, which leaves much of Chicago in ruins. Gamers will play as Andy Collins, who is searching for a refugee camp. Along the way, Collins can use pistols, machine guns and grenades to fend of rioters or looters. However, the focus of this title is on exploration, as Collins must survive for a total of 7 days, when rescue comes.
The current release status of this title is still in negotiation, with Ubisoft attempting to acquire a rating under 15+. There has been one update to the game, which has removed some of the violence. However, this title is tentatively expected to release in late 2011 (December 31st). Enjoy a preview of this title from a software developer that has been in the business for over twenty years. The trailer is below.

It was only a matter of time, as The Big Two often do, that Marvel would be developing their own Mmo game to rival that of Sony’s Dcu Online game which was released earlier this year. While Sony employed comic greats Jim Lee, Geoff Johns, and Marv Wolfman to help build the story and look of the game, Marvel along with game developers and designers Gazillion has chosen “architect,” Brian Michael Bendis as the head writer of the game and will work with Andy Collins, Lead Story Designer at Gazillion. Bendis was welcomed to a press conference in San Francisco Thursday night.
“The reason I was so desperate to be a part of this is that I am a big believer that the Marvel Universe is more than this fantasy universe, or a fictional universe of characters, it’s kind of a lifestyle for a lot of people,” said Bendis.
