James 'Arg' Argent has been eliminated from 'The Jump' - again. The 'Only Way is Essex' star's poor performance last week saw him ousted from the tough winter sports competition, but he returned ahead of last night's (14.02.16) parallel slalom in place of injured Olympian Linford Christie, and again failed to impress. Arg found himself facing the air jump again after losing to Sarah Harding in their race, and managed to record a distance of just 8.27m, losing his place in the competition. But he didn't seem too upset as he exclaimed: ''I can go back to Essex!'' He had earlier apologised to Lindford...

Linda Robson has turned down the chance to appear on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The Birds of a Feather actress feared that she would become the "joke" of the show, and didn't want to traumatise her kids by making a fool of herself.
She told the Daily Star: "You have to know your capabilities. I could not learn one routine. I did Let's Dance for Sport Relief and I could not remember the routine and I had three weeks to learn it.
"I don't mind people laughing with me but my kids would be traumatised. I would be the joke one if I went on the show and I don't want that."
Despite her reluctance to take part, Robson thinks her co-star Lesley Joseph, 69, would be a "fantastic" addition to the line-up.

Big Brother's Harry Amelia Martin and Nick Henderson have struggled to resolve their argument.
In highlights airing tonight (June 23), the atmosphere in the house is notably tense after the pair had a falling out during Nick's birthday party the previous day.
Marc O'Neill takes Nick's side, believing that because Nick was celebrating his birthday, he should get the benefit of the doubt.
"On our birthday, we get a free pass," he says in the Diary Room. "You just forgive all our sins."
Describing Harry as clingy, he adds: "My advice to Nick: put on your best running shoes and sprint like Linford Christie."
In the smoking area, Nick attempts to make peace with Harry, but she comments: "Better I know where your loyalties lie now rather than later."
"Harry, it's impossible to speak to you," Nick responds. "I'm trying to speak to you about it, and you're having a go at me.

Metro Manila | Diana | The Call | Ripd | Kelly + Victor | Hawking | Cold Comes The Night | A Belfast Story | Harrigan | InRealLife | 9.79* | Mademoiselle C | Phata Poster Nikla Hero
Metro Manila (15)
(Sean Ellis, 2013, UK/Phi) Jake Macapagal, Althea Vega, John Arcilla. 115 mins
Street-level social drama slyly develops into gripping crime thriller in this resourceful Anglo-Asian movie, a distinctive spin on the familiar theme of innocent country folk in the corrupting city. The squalor of modern-day Manila is vividly evoked, as our goodly, hard-up couple struggle to gain a foothold, but the opportunities they get only lead them into the moral shadows.
Diana (12A)
(Oliver Hirschbiegel, 2013, UK/Fra/Bel/Swe/Moz) Naomi Watts, Naveen Andrews. 113 mins
History repeats itself as farce in this unintentionally laughable rendition of Diana's final years and her "secret" affair. It's no deeper or better informed than your average celebrity mag.
The Call (15)
(Brad Anderson, 2013, Us) Halle Berry, Abigail Breslin, Michael Eklund.

25 years after the game-changing events of the 1988 Summer Olympics in which Ben Johnson was stripped of his 100m Gold medal for failing a drug test, the use of banned substances in sport is more rampant than ever. Assembling each of the eight athletes who competed in that fateful 100m final, Daniel Gordon’s apt documentary 9.79* – which was part of Epsn’s 30 for 30 series last year –presents a candid exploration of the bitter rivalry that existed between its participants as well as depicting a period where drug testing was in its infancy.

Christie Banned From Roads After Crash Conviction
Athletics legend Linford Christie has been hit with a driving ban after crashing his car into a taxi while travelling on the wrong side of the road.
The British sprinter smashed his luxury Audi head-on into the cab, which was carrying a newlywed couple, near his ex-girlfriend's home in Buckinghamshire, England in May last year.
Christie admitted the accident happened after he suffered a "lapse", telling a court in England this week (beg18Jul11), "I was just driving along and the next thing I knew, I saw a light and we had a crash, and that was it... I accept that it was my fault."
On Thursday, the athlete, who took gold in the 100 metres at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, was found guilty of careless driving but was cleared of a more serious charge of dangerous driving.
He was banned from getting behind the wheel for 15 months and ordered to pay an $8,000 (£5,000) fine and $1,600 (£1,000) in court costs.

Christie Facing Trial Over Car Crash
British Olympic gold medallist Linford Christie will stand trial on a charge of dangerous driving later this year.
The retired sprinter, 50, is facing the count following a car crash with a taxi in Buckinghamshire, England in May last year, which left both drivers and two passengers in the cab needing hospital treatment.

Linford Christie has admitted that he thought about quitting ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The Olympic gold medallist – who was voted off the ITV1 show on Tuesday (30.11.10) – admitted he found it tough sticking it out in the jungle and considered leaving on a number of occasions because he was so hungry.
He said: “There were definitely times when I wanted to walk. You realise your loved ones are in Australia and you want to see them. There are also times when you’re hungry and it’s tough. You’re used to having the luxury of opening your fridge and having whatever food you want.
“We take a lot of things for granted in this world. Even having no seasoning on your food and having no salt is tough.”

Linford Christie has said that Gillian McKeith achieved what she wanted with her dramatic antics in the jungle. The Olympic gold medal winner, who was eliminated from I'm A Celebrity last night, said that McKeith wanted to earn newspaper headlines during her stint on the show. "She achieved what she wanted to achieve because we are talking about her now. She was the most talked about person for the first week or so but I just had to do my bit for the team, I wasn't worrying about how she performed," he told Daybreak. "There were times when she didn't get us enough food to eat but I was always willing to step in and try my best for the team." Christie singled out campmates Stacey Solomon and Kayla Collins (more)...

Linford Christie was voted off ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ last night .
On hearing the news he had received the lowest amount of public votes, the Olympic gold medallist jumped into the air, telling hosts Ant and Dec he’d “had enough”.
He said: “Oh God, I have had enough, I had enough days ago.”
The 50-year-old athlete – who assumed the role of leader in the jungle camp the stars have been living in for the past two-and-a-half weeks – admitted despite putting on a brave face, he was “scared” of a lot of the critters he had to deal with during his time on the ITV1 show.
Linford explained: “There are things in there which scared me but you can’t let on. They see me as the leader and the motivator and you just have to be brave.

Linford Christie has become the sixth person to be voted out of the I'm A Celebrity jungle. The former Olympic athlete found himself in the bottom two along with comedian Dom Joly, and was named as the next celebrity to leave after receiving the fewest number of public votes. Christie had an emotional interview with Ant & Dec, admitting that he had at times found the experience mentally draining. The sprinter said that his last night had been his most uncomfortable in the jungle camp, after an enormous rainstorm soaked their beds. Talking about his composed efforts in the trials, including the live trial in which former contestant Gillian McKeith was unable to take part, Christie said: "It was for the team. When you're doing it for the team, you've got to get on with it and all my athletic training came in." However, he admitted: "There (more)...

Linford Christie and Dom Joly became emotional on last night’s I’m A Celebrity, when the camp mates opened their parcels from home.
Having won the gifts in the secret mission challenge, feelings were running high as they each took turns to open their gifts.
But it was Linford and Dom who found it the toughest. Linford was in tears after one of his gifts was a picture of his daughter, whilst Dom struggled to read the postcard from his wife and kids. Instead it was read out by Gillian. He later commented, “It was odd hearing my wife’s voice read out by Gillian McKeith.” But the comedian welled up at his message and later admitted, “I never cry, I didn’t cry properly but I couldn’t read my own thing.”
Stacey received some knickers and joked, “a pair of knickers, cause I’m a dirty ol’ cow!

We haven’t liked the look of Gillian McKeith ever since she set foot in the I’m A Celebrity jungle camp and tonight she made us hate her just a little bit more!
The You Are What you eat star reduced former X Factor singer Stacey Solomon to tears on this evening’s ITV show, because she had the audacity to say what everyone else was thinking.
Asking Gillian why she stays in camp, if she finds the experience so difficult the singer said:
“You are on telly and you are fainting, you’re fainting in front of your children, no amount of money is worth that.
“If you’re so afraid and have so many phobias and are ill over it, why don’t you just go? There’s nothing keeping you here. You said it’s unbearable ’

Nigel Havers has blasted some of his former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ campmates.
The Brothers and Sisters actor – who quit the show yesterday – branded Gilliam McKeith “controlling and touchy”, admitted he tired of Linford Christie’s constant talking and said Playboy model Kayla Collins comes from “another planet”.
He said: “There are two sides to Gillian. One is controlling and touchy, and the other is playing a game to get maximum publicity.
“I wished Linford would shut up but he’s bigger than me. I told him to shut up but he thought I was joking.
“Kayla didn’t contribute much. She comes from another planet, Los Angeles. There’s Mars, Jupiter, and then Los Angeles.”
However, the 59-year-old star had kind words for “elegant” Sheryl Gascoigne, “wonderful” Britt Ekland, and “strong and funny” Jenny Éclair.
Nigel also tipped Stacey Soloman to win.

Havers Quits Jungle Reality Show
British actor Nigel Havers has walked out of the Australian jungle after quitting U.K. reality TV show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
The veteran star has been camping with former Bond girl Britt Ekland, rocker Shaun Ryder and Olympic gold medallist Linford Christie as part of the series, which sees stars put to the test in trying tasks.
Havers threatened to quit in an episode screened on Sunday after he was ordered to compete in a challenge in which the contestants received electric shocks.
After producers convinced him to continue on the programme, Havers gamely agreed to soldier on - but he eventually walked out of camp on Monday and is now set to return to Britain.
In a statement posted on the show's official website, a spokesman says, "We can confirm that Nigel Havers has hung up his boots and left the jungle."...

Nigel Havers has sensationally quit ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actor walked out of the camp just hours after nutritionist Gillian McKeith’s dramatic collapse on live television as he had grown tired of life in the jungle and some of his fellow contestants.
An insider said: “Nigel just said he’d had enough and it wasn’t what he thought it would be like.
“He said he was fed up with the inane chatter from some of the others and just wanted to go home.”
Although Nigel had grown close to Shaun Ryder, he found it hard to bond with his other campmates, especially politician Lembit Opik.
While he has now officially quit, he had previously threatened to walk out during a kangaroo court task when he found out he would be given electric shocks.
He told producers: “I don’t do electric shocks.

Gillian McKeith has collapsed live on air during I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The 51-year-old fell to the ground on last night's show as hosts Ant & Dec announced that she had been chosen by the public to take part in the Unfairground bushtucker trial. Medics were immediately called in to help while producers decided to cut to an advert break. When the programme returned, McKeith was ruled out of the trial on medical grounds, and Linford Christie - as the contestant with the second-highest number of public votes - took on the challenge. Linford Christie has attracted criticism from his I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! co-stars for being self involved and telling tedious stories. Alison Hammond is to enter the jungle on tonight’s (19.11.10) ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’
The curvy ‘This Morning’ presenter – who is no stranger to reality TV after appearing on ‘Big Brother’ in 2002 – admitted she has similar motivations to Jenny Eclair, as she hopes to lose some weight while faced with basic rations in the Australian jungle.
She said: “It’s not the best way to lose weight, but it would be great to lose a stone. I’ve been on a diet for the last six weeks and I have already lost a stone and a half, so if I can lose some more pounds, that will be fantastic.
“I can’t wait to be smaller and I really hope I will then be able to keep the weight off! Being in the jungle will give me time to think about why I do overeat.
