Aaron Carter‘s twin sister Angel Carter spoke about the tragic death of her siblings.
If you don’t know, three of the Carter children – Leslie Carter, Aaron Carter, and Bobbie Jean Carter – have sadly passed away and each of their deaths involved drugs.
Leslie passed away in 2012 at the young age of 25 from an overdose. In 2022, Aaron tragically passed at the age of 34 from drowning after “inhalation of compressed gas and intake of alprazolam [generic Xanax.]” In 2023, Bobbie Jean died at the age of 41 from “intoxication by the combined effects of fentanyl and methamphetamine.”
If you don’t know, the fifth Carter sibling is Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter.
While making an appearance on CBS Mornings on Tuesday (April 23), Angel was asked about their deaths.

Though our younger viewers may know her better for her friendship with Kim Kardashian, the spotlight shone brightly on Paris Hilton, especially in the early 2000s. But was she just “famous for being famous”, or is there more to this Paparazzi Princess?
Like her friend Kim, Paris Hilton’s fame was bolstered by the infamy that comes from being the star of a wildly popular
sex tape, 2004’s cleverly-titled 1 Night in Paris. “That’s Hot.” As with Kim Kardashian, questions remain even decades later about whether the video was released intentionally to capitalize on her growing fame. For her part, Paris has since denied consenting to the video’s release and has settled out-of-court for the damage to her image and reputation. Perhaps the grossest thing about the video (bear with me) is that it opens with a title card that says “In memory of 9/11/01… We will never forget.” Seriously.

The Carter family has been struck by yet another loss with the sudden and untimely death of Bobbie Jean Carter in Florida. As the sister of Aaron and Nick Carter, her death marks the third loss for the family.
The family has already endured the loss of Aaron, who tragically died last year at the age of 34 from an accidental drowning caused by the effects of alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax, and inhaling compressed air.
Additionally, Bobbie Jean’s sister, Leslie, passed away in 2012 from an apparent overdose at the age of 25.
Carter worked as a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist for Aaron’s tours in the early 2000s. She also appeared on the family’s reality series House of Carters, which aired in 2006. While she battled addiction and substance abuse, Carter mostly lived her life away from the spotlight. She leaves behind her daughter, Bella.

Forget Justin Timberlake or Nick Carter, in the late ’90s there was one heartthrob above all others who was guaranteed to make girls go wild: Prince William.
With his blossoming good looks, fancy title and tragic backstory, the British royal became the subject of teenage dreams across the globe. His face was plastered across magazines, hordes of screaming girls would gather outside anywhere he was scheduled to make an appearance, and, cementing his status as a pop culture icon, he even had an unwitting cameo in “Princess Diaries 2” when his photo flashed up on screen as a potential husband for Anne Hathaway’s character Mia.
The right royal hysteria that gripped the late ’90s and early 2000s is recreated in the sixth and final season of “The Crown” in an episode titled “Willsmania,” in which the bewildered teenager, still reeling from the loss of his mother Princess Diana, suddenly finds...

From "I Want It That Way" to "I'll Never Break Your Heart," the Backstreet Boys are known for their hit love songs, but what do their personal love lives look like? Over the years, all five members of the group - Aj McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell - have gotten married and started families of their own.
Most of the band members actually have really sweet stories of how they met their wives. One of them actually met their significant other on the set of a Backstreet Boys music video, while another met his wife before Backstreet Boys fame when he was still working at Disney World. And apparently, tours are now often family affairs.

Hot on the heels of Nsync’s explosive appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards, Joey Fatone performed the group’s biggest hits in Tampa, Florida on Friday night and Et Canada was exclusively with the musician as he stepped off stage and dished on the boy band’s buzzy reunion.
In town for 90s Con, Fatone, 46, put on a sold-out Joey Fatone & Friends gig at Tampa Theater, where he was joined by his sister Janine and Backstreet Boys pal Aj McLean.
McLean was still buzzing from Tuesday’s Nsync reunion, telling the audience he became “teary” watching Fatone, Justin Timberlake, Jc Chasez, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick come together at the VMA’s to present an award to Taylor Swift — who fangirled and questioned the band on their future.
“She went, ‘What the hell are you guys doing?’ That was [her] big question.”

A third lawsuit has been filed against Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, alleging the singer raped a 15-year-old girl two decades ago.
The lawsuit was filed Monday by an unnamed Pennsylvania woman in Clark County, Nev., according to Las Vegas news station Ktnv.
In the legal filing, the woman, identified only as A.R., claims Carter sexually assaulted her multiple times in 2003, when Carter was 22 and 23 years old. She alleges Carter raped her in separate instances onboard a yacht and a boat in Florida, and sexually assaulted her on a bus.
A.R. claims Carter, now 43, instructed her “to keep his sexual abuse of her a secret.”
She is the third woman to file a lawsuit of this nature against the Backstreet Boys star. Two other women, Shannon Ruth and Melissa Schuman, have also accused Carter of rape and sexual assault. Ruth said Carter raped her when she was 17 years old.

A lawsuit filed in Nevada on Monday accused Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl multiple times.
The plaintiff, who is from Pennsylvania and was identified in the lawsuit as “A.R.,” reported the incidents to her mother, who then informed state police.
Carter allegedly assaulted the then-15-year-old girl in 2003, when the singer was 22 and 23. She has claimed that Carter raped her in a bedroom on his yacht and then instructed her to keep his actions a secret.
Additional allegations assert that Carter assaulted A.R. on another boat and on a bus, and infected A.R. with Hpv. The lawsuit also stated that Carter “knowingly provided alcohol and drugs to then-minor A.R. on this occasion and caused her to become intoxicated on his yacht.”

Bobbie Jean Carter, 41, the sister of singers Aaron and Nick Carter, has been arrested in Florida for shoplifting and possession of fentanyl.
She was detained over the weekend after Hobby Lobby employees called the cops on her. The 41-year-old stole an estimated $55 worth of products from the arts and crafts store.
When the officers questioned her actions, the former waitress panicked and threw a container filled with white and purple powder under a desk. The powder was later tested and was discovered to be fentanyl.
As she was being taken away, Bobbie Jean was heard muttering, “I’m just going to have to kill myself.” She was then placed under suicide watch.
She is in jail and is being held on a $500 bond.

Members of popular American former boy band ‘Backstreet Boys’, who are all set to start the India leg of its DNA world tour, were greeted by the staff of a Mumbai hotel with a dance on their all-time hit number, ‘Larger Than Life’.
Tweeting about it from the hotel lobby on Wednesday, Backstreet Boys frontman Nick Carter said: “This is the first time I have seen this in my entire career… Crazy!”
The band, which has been dishing out hits and setting records since 1993, has been making the wrong kind of news lately because of the sexual assault charges against Carter.
Carter and Aj McLean, another leading voice of the pop group, were greeted by a swarm of paparazzis waiting to catch a glimpse of the musicians at the airport. The band members were visibly taken by surprise at the reception they got and started recording every moment of their arrival.

Aaron Carter's fiancée Melanie Martin has said that the singer’s newly released autopsy report has left her with “more questions” following his November 2022 death.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s report revealed on Tuesday (18 April) that Carter had accidentally died by drowning in his bathtub after taking sedatives and inhaling a gas used in spray cleaners.
The singer and younger brother of Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter was 34.
However, Martin later told TMZ that “the results of the autopsy are not closure for me”.
She continued: “It claims death is by drowning but also adds he was wearing a t-shirt and necklace in the bathtub which doesn’t make sense, why would he be in a bathtub with clothes on?
“I am still in shock and still miss Aaron every day. I don’t understand the chain of events and this report only has us asking more questions.

The cause of Aaron Carter’s death over five months ago has been revealed in his autopsy report. The 34-year-old singer, who was the brother of ‘Backstreet Boys’ mamber Nick Carter, was found dead in his bathtub at home in Lancaster, California, on November 5 last year, reports Mirror.co.uk.
The report is said to have shown that he drowned in his bathtub after taking alprazolam, a generic version of Xanax, and inhaling compressed difluoroethane, which is a propellant used in cans of compressed air.
The report, which was obtained by TMZ, said that the singer had become “incapacitated while in the bathtub due to the effects” of the drugs. It’s said that this resulted in him slipping underneath the bath water and drowning.
Mirror.co.uk further states that the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s report means that his death is officially ruled as an accident.

Aaron Carter’s death was ruled an accident by Los Angeles coroners in a report seen Tuesday (18 April).
The singer and younger brother of Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter was found dead aged 34 in November 2022.
The autopsy has now revealed that Carter’s death was caused by drowning and the effects of sedatives he’d taken and difluoroethane he’d inhaled.
The sedative alprazolam, often sold under the brand name Xanax, was found in his system, as was the compressed gas difluoroethane, which the report says is “a gas commonly used as a propellant in air spray cleaners,” which “can induce feelings of euphoria when inhaled”.
The two substances made him incapacitated in the tub, and caused the drowning, the report said.
The autopsy was performed the day after Carter's death, but the results were withheld for toxicology tests, which often take months.

Aaron Carter’s cause of death has officially been revealed as an accidental drowning, Deadline reports.
The former child pop star’s autopsy states he drowned after inhaling difluoroethane, the flammable gas found in compressed air, and ingesting alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax. According to the National Library of Medicine, difluoroethane is found in common household items like compressed air dusters, refrigerants, and propellants that acts as a central nervous system depressant when ingested recreationally.
Carter was found dead in his bathtub at his Lancaster, California home on November 5th, 2022. He was 34 years old. The autopsy states he had “no life-threatening traumatic injuries” at the time of his death.
Although police initially ruled out foul play, earlier this year, Carter’s mother, Jane Schneck, called for a criminal investigation into his death. Schneck stated that her son “had a lot of death threats and many many people who were making his life miserable,...

Backstreet Boy Nick Carter has been sued for sexual assault and sexual battery by Melissa Schuman, a former member of pop group Dream.
Schuman and her legal team filed the civil suit on Tuesday in the Los Angeles Superior Court, with the 2000s girl group performer alleging that Carter used his status and platform as an “international multiplatinum recording pop star” to “groom, manipulate, exploit, and sexually assault” her. After she first alleged the assault in a 2017 blog post, Melissa Schuman of the ’00s pop band Dream has filed a formal lawsuit claiming Nick Carter drugged and raped her at a party in 2003 when she was 18. It marks the second sexual assault lawsuit filed against the Backstreet Boys member in just under six months.
The suit, filed in Los Angeles Tuesday, said the incident occurred while Schuman and Carter were starring together in the teen horror movie The Hollow. Schuman alleges that Carter gave her alcohol laced with a drug like flunitrazepam — notorious for its use as a “date rape” drug — before leading her away from the group and forcibly performing oral sex on her (via Billboard). “Defendant Carter exerted his control over plaintiff, despite knowing she did not consent, for his own sexual gratification,” the suit reads.

According to TMZ, Schuman filed the suit, in which she claims Carter sexually assaulted her in Santa Monica in 2002. She was 18 at the time, while he was 22.
The filing alleges that Carter forcibly performed oral sex on her, and forced her to do the same, and then took her virginity despite her protesting that she wanted to wait for marriage.
Schuman’s allegations are not new. She first came forward with her claims in 2017, and at the time had sought for the pop star to be criminally charged.
Despite filing a police report, the D.A.’s office declined to prosecute Carter for the alleged crimes.

Jena Malone is opening up about a past sexual assault. The 38-year-old actress, who starred as Johanna Mason in the final three “Hunger Games” films, took to Instagram on Tuesday to reflect on how she felt when her journey with the franchise came to an end.
“This photo was taken right after I wrapped ‘Mockingjay — Part Two’ and I had to say goodbye to everyone on set. We were shooting in a beautiful estate in the countryside of France and I asked the driver to let me out in this field so I could cry and capture this moment,” she began. “Even tho this time in Paris was extremely hard for me, was going thru a bad break up and also was sexually assaulted by someone I had worked with, I was so full of gratitude for this project, the people I became close with and this amazing part I got to play.

A woman who accused Nick Carter of raping her back in 2001 when she was 17 claims in a new legal filing that the Backstreet Boy singer’s countersuit is an attempt to “silence” her.
The new filing from Shannon “Shay” Ruth, who alleged Carter raped her during the boy band’s Black & Blue tour, states that Carter’s countersuit — where he says he’s been the victim of a “conspiracy” attempting to “harass, defame, and extort” him — was only filed to “harass,” “intimidate,” and silence her.
